I don't think Armys will bring up ratings like Y'all said but livestreams will do well. Other Fandoms (Navy, BeyHive etc.) usually wait for the following day and only watch their faves. (Which is what I'm gonna do if Rih appears)

Honestly i've noticed as well, that fewer big names show up anymore. AMAs and Billboard both are like...dying. The few big names that show up are usually promoting...and struggling. Really, if you can't get Beyonce or Rihanna or equivilent to show up to your show... it's typically a non-news event.


BET Awards making that comeback year after year for this reason. Black artists dominate a lot of the music industry right now... and they only bother with black award shows (finally) and the Grammys (sometimes).
