Another portrait, far to have a nice result, work and pratice is the only key of the success...

im assuming this is yours

 

you use blending too much

 

and skin doesnt have one color which you can choose to make it only lighter or darker, mix different shades too

 

and never make shadows black or grey (make is dark purple or red)

I agree with what you said about the colours of the skin and shadows, but I wouldn't say they use blending too much, if the art style they are going for is a soft look which is blended like this then it is fine, and there is nothing wrong with it, even if it is not to your personal taste

 

I do actually like it, it looks nice~

Actually, this is one of my first portrait. Thanks for your advices, I will follow it.
