Is my roommate crazy or???

We got into a fight because she never locks our door and now she wants to make our flat a fucking monastery.

Her demands are:

At all times, wear headphones when using your phone or watching videos on your computer.

Not watch tv past 10pm.

Ask for her permission to have people over at all times.

I feel like she thinks I am 12.

Having a discussion regarding her demands after dinner, advice shall be appreciated.

Is this a college dorm or an apartment?

I don't like the "ask her for permission to have permission over at all time", it sounds like she's trying to be the head bitch, but there should be consideration on both sides.

I tell her when I have people over, but she refuses to interact with people and stays locked up in her room or goes away to avoid everyone.

Also we are both working adults who have already graduated from college. She has a great difficulty getting used to adulthood.

We got into a fight because she never locks our door - Nahh that won't work. Huge security issues right there. idontthinksobetchplz.png

At all times, wear headphones when using your phone or watching videos on your computer. - ehhh reasonable and it should go both ways

Not watch tv past 10pm. - do y'all have set quiet hours?

Ask for her permission to have people over at all times. - Instead ----> I would be annoyed if I came home after a long day of classes or work and had randoms in the apartment/dorm. It's a bit jarring at first, like, you couldn't send me a quick text saying that there were gonna be ppl over? Especially if its a group. One or two ppl though...

Is she a roommate or a house/apartment mate? If you are actually sharing a room then I understand wear she is coming from, I wouldn't want to hear what you were watching on you're computer or phone either.

Also this stuff seems like something maybe you two should have discussed before you moved in together. If this is in a college dorm or something, maybe try talking to your RA.

*I thought this said no people over after 10 pm, not TV (which is still a little nuts). This girl is crazy.

The tv is mine so the only thing that'll happen is that I'll put it in my room and she'll have no tv.

The reason I left my parents' home is that I had to ask for permission to invite ppl over so that's a deal breaker for me and she knows it.

10pm on weekdays makes sense, however on the weekends it is a little ridiculous. Also this stuff seems like something maybe you two should have discussed before you moved in together. If this is in a college dorm or something, maybe try talking to your RA.

It's an apartment with separate rooms.

I understand the headphone's one, but this two are questionable.

She is asking for the headphones because I once watched a video on my phone at 10% volume in my bed and ahe texted me from her room to mute it. Our neighbors make more noise than that, she is just being over the top.

If she is having all the rules the least she could do is lock the door

I often come home and all the cupboards are open, the tv is on and the lights are all on. The door is unlocked and she is in bed. When I tell her she says: k, so what.
