Wow that's cool. A judge like him was needed cuz if you want to reach the top, you have to fight for it with all your might. I might give it a try. Tbh I watched the 'show song' for it and Mix9 and I saw so many people... I feel sorry for most of them because not all of them will make it.

my biased ass aside it would be nice if one of them had the deciding vote or smth of the sort, it's kind of dumb how if you get a single boot you're already qualified.. (and apart from the april girl cough he seems to be fair with his choices)

I share Taemin's perspective. These are debuted idols (well, most of them) and should have something to show that would warrant a debut in the first place. And if they thought they were lacking in something, they could have practiced during the hiatuses. I am on the same page as SM Entertainment with their mantra that skills can be trained.

I think Taemin gave her a passing because she really had guts with the way she presented herself. He still criticized her on her singing and everything else.

yeah that's true...i was just really surprised with her going through (with 6 boots if i'm remembering correctly?) when honestly she had nothing going for her (nothing against the girl btw, i don't even know her)

but still, it'd be nice if they qualified by majority... hopefully they'll get stricter as the show goes on

SHINee are a group that pride themselves on giving the highest quality performances possible and Taemin is a guy that literally sacrifice sleep and relaxing for years in between hectic, packed group scheduled to improve as a singer (and dancer) so can't say i'm surprised he's not the most forgiving when evaluating others on the show especially since most contestants already debuted (and many a few good years already) lol
