Lol there are just some unsubstantiated rumours that she is somehow connected to Polaris or Blockberry Creative. She was apparently part of a dance team called GARTs before Idol School, which is under Polaris or something.

I've read a comment saying that Polaris is poor. Is it true?

 

I always thought Polaris was rich, since they are a subsidiary of Ilkwang Group, a large conglomerate that works with arms trade. Also, their subsidiary, BlockBerry, obviously have a lot of money considering how expensive Loona's pre-debut project is.

Exactly. If their subsidiary, BlockBerry, has a lot of money, I don't see how Pollaris, the "mother company", can be poor. But then again, I don't know much about that type of business.

Probably? I doubt that ALL of the trainees that have been competing to get into LOONA will end up in Polaris' new girl group

 

I could see maybe one of the girls getting in since the two agencies are close, but I believe that Polaris is gonna have their own internal competition to see who makes it into their group

 

I agree. I don't think Polaris would hold such big auditions in Japan and Korea just to use the BB girls. I can see maybe only 1 or 2 BB girls getting in.

I also don't believe that all blurred girls that didn't make into Loona would join Polaris new girl group but I hope some of them would be able to debut.

There were like 4-6 shown in the last prequel, but BBC announced that they were looking at 50 girls who could possibly be LOONA members

As far as I'm aware, it's going to be a somewhat similar ''project'' to the SM Rookies. They posted a logo for both ''Polaris Girls'' and ''Polaris Boys'' so I don't think it has any affiliation with the new girl group (as of now at least)

 

Do you mind explaining to me how SM rookies works? What I found on Google about it is pretty vague.

 

I'm a huge fan of Loona and really like Ladies' code's music so I'll definitely be stanning this new group. Choi Hayoung and Lee Seoyeon are really pretty. 

 

I'm expecting good music from this group, too. Polaris/BBC usually creates content of high quality. And Hayoung and Seoyeon are very talented.

To answer your question about SM Rookies, it's a project by SM to introduce their trainees that are preparing to debut (debut for the trainees is not guaranteed, however). The Rookies do a variety of activities (they went on Disney Channel, voice act, perform at SM Town concerts, etc.) as a way to be promoted.

 

Other companies have done similar methods to revealing trainees, YG did it very briefly with BLACKPINK's pre-debut group while JYP hosts a trainee showcase every couple of months and putting their trainees on survival shows (Somi on PD101, Ryujin on MIXNINE).

According to Polaris' website, Seoyeon's birthday is the 6th of May, 1999 and her specialty is Chinese.

I feel like in terms of visuals Polaris Girls are a bit lacking, not that they're ugly that's not the case whatsoever but so far we haven't seen any members who stand out visually compared to the rest. Like rn, looking at the members Hajeong, Hayoung, Seoyeon & Suji I can't pick out who'd be the visual. Maybe the other girl we saw in the video teaser will be the visual? 

 

I think the visual(s) will probably be the trainne(s) we don't know yet.
