What do you think about that riverdale show?

 

I'm highkey triggered by it tbh. Like what genius thought that a witty and relateable kids/teens comic should be adapted into a liveaction angsty teen cw series?

 

Does that show even have anything in common with the comics aside from the names?

Could've just made it a separate show without the Archie brand then.

 

 

 

At least the movie had a similar feel to the comics albeit more adult.

I like Riverdale but the show is missing the snarkiness and pettiness of the comicd. It's way too now and tumblry.

I think that people need to stop associating comics, books, etc. with their tv and movie counterparts because there are so many instances where the show or movie doesn't follow everything or doesn't follow at all what is in the comics, books, etc. that they are based on. Riverdale isn't the first to do this and it won't be the last.

My faves were Veronica and Reggie. I used to cut out Archie's pics from the front cover...I really didn't like him

I don't watch Riverdale nor do I read the Archie comics but the Archie comics seem was better than Riverdale tbh. (i watched like one episode of the first season and gave up, I seriously don't get the hype around this show).

Early 2000's was pretty shitty but it improved during the 2010's (heard they're trying to match it to riverdale though..) 50s-70s remains the golden age
