yes a group thread for Babymetal. nothing beats watching them live. I'm waiting for the release of their Nippon Budokan concert on Blu-Ray, which I'm sure will probably be released sometime in fall.

for the Sonisphere, I would love to see them perform the set that they did during Summer Sonic 2013 on the Rainbow Stage as per the live dvd with the special edition album. that performance rocks!

Since they'll be performing on the Bohemia tent, so it'll be quite small and intimate with the audience rather than the open air stage such as the Apollo and Saturn stage for the big acts. would be expecting a circle pit as huge as the tent itself and a wall of death charge.

the probable set list for a 30 mins set. will be expecting the heavy hitter set list that'll keep the crowd mosh*sh for the whole set.

Babymetal Death

Megitsune

Gimme Choco!

Catch Me If You Can / Doki Doki Morning / Iine (these will probably be interchangeable)

Headbangerrrrr!

Ijime Dame Zettai.

so playing in the main stage means more playing time, probably around 45 mins set. then babymetal should be playing about 8-9 songs. since Apollo stage and Saturn stage will be playing at one set at a time without clashing.

I was just reading a thread in a metal forum with people confessing what groups they liked and disliked, that usually contradict the general opinion. The amount of metalheads that said they genuinely enjoyed BABYMETAL was really surprising and it was nice to see.

because some of the older metalheads have grown tired of all the unnecessary growling, squealing and screaming and what more, the songs are fun to listen to. furthermore, the songs are all well constructed and pays homage to a lot of sub-genres of metal.

They are so cute :ahmagah:

I wonder if this is related to the tour and if they have plans of giving concerts in America this year.

some source says that they will be appearing on a number of tv shows in the US. I don't know how reliable the source is. it will be rad if they're appearing on Jimmy Fallon late night show. that would boost their audience and probably cement their probability of adding a couple of cities in the US for their World Tour 2014.

It's a shame there isn't going to be footage of those events but it must be great for the hardcore fans that surely are part of the fanclub.

and its probably a holy birthday celebration for Yui-Metal. since Legend Y Seitansai will not happen in Europe.

I think they're doing fine in Japan. If I remember correctly Megitsune sold something over 30k copies which is good for them. And of course I think the album did great compared to how other artists of their "category" do.

A lot of idol groups are playing Budokan nowadays so the fact that their last concert was there is not that uncommon. But it was two days and sold out so they did good.

Their next concert in japan is on Makuhari Messe which according to their website has a capacity of 9,000 people

Which makes me wonder why they don't go to bigger places and be a little more ambitious. But they are doing good, they're medium tier in my opinion.

guess Amuse does have a genius marketing plans. they want to make their success like a slow build up, chronicling their tales of 'Metal Resistance' by revealing the Fox Apocalypse Revelations one by one as if it is a journey that this group has to make in order to spread out the the so called 'religion' not in an overwhelming way, but slowly converting people.

they started out just for the 'Nanja Korya' factor only with Doki Doki Morning, then slowly the revelations came down one by one like: 1. began performing live shows on idol shows and concerts

2. and then once they have a following, they perform a one man show with Babybones on live houses such as the legendary Meguro Rock Maykan (the 1st Legend of Corset Festival),

3. then on bigger venues like Shibuya O-East (Tsutaya O-East now), Akasaka Blitz and Zepp Tokyo for Legend I,D,Z and we saw the advent of Kami Band backing up the girls on their encore.

4. After their rebirth (Su-Metal's graduation from Sakura Gakuin), they went on a Death Match tour with the Kami Band playing all the setlist live.

5. then the little fairies Holy Birthday celebration at NHK Hall.

6. they go on participating at the summer rock festivals throughout Japan. 6. then first live performance in Singapore for the AFA Festival 2012.

7.and 2nd time 2013 (they performed a one man show in Singapore in 2013 and also a 3rd overseas show in Indonesia as well in 2013).

8. Su-Metal's holy birthday celebration concert at Makuhari Messe and the revelations of a new album in February 2014 and two Nippon Budokan concerts (Red Night and Black Night)*

9. Their 4th overseas live shows in Taiwan with Chthonic (Taiwan's own extreme metal band).

10. First album release and Gimme Chocolate went viral.

11. Nippon Budokan concert. 1st night Red Night - Legend of Corset Festival (this is a homage to X-Japan's Blue Night concert) and 2nd night Black Night - Legend of Doomsday (this is a homage to X-Japan's White Night concert) and the revelation of their departure to spread the Metal Resistance to other parts of the world.

12. World Tour 2014 revelation.

I like them as musicians as well and I don't even like metal

But even if I don't like metal this got my attention since the first time I saw it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FWxgdtfCuds

and it got me a bit interested in DELUHI

I love this song from them. it's one of the few ballads that flows really well by a metal VK band.

Yup the lady sitting next to Boh. I thought it's weird when Diru's tour manager/translator is also working for Babymetal.

Nah I mean does Leda actually join them in this Europe trip. I saw a pic of Mikio participating above. The pic of Kami guitarist doesn't look like Leda either.

check his twitter. https://twitter.com/Leda_Cygnus it's him alright. he looks to have gain some weight after doing sessions for a lot of other artists such as Daigo and TMR.
