They're getting recognized in the West now, but I think their evolution in Japan has been quite solid. They started in small concerts lip-syncing everything except for headbanger.

 

Now they have become the youngest act to sold out Budokan, in a two day concert! With SUMETAL singing everything live (she's been doing that for over a year) and also with a live metal band.

 

These girls have work really hard to be where they are now. I'm so proud of them.

My love for Babymetal Death came after seeing a lot of live performances. It's the perfect song to get you in the mood for an amazing concert.

 

At Summer Sonic 2013 the intro with Babymetal Death was epic. When they came into the stage, walking slowly and covered with the Babymetal towel, it was so powerful:

I'm the proud owner of Megitsune Limited "Ki" Edition and the Album limited edition as well. Waiting for them to release their Budokan concert on Blu-ray to get that too.

 

Their artwork is amazing, I recommend everyone to get something in physical format. BABYMETAL Apocalypse had an amazing booklet but sadly I couldn't get it:

^ I've been spending all my money on Momoiro Clover Z and Ebichu Blu-rays so I need to recover financially. This summer there's going to be a lot of interesting concert releases and I hope BABYMETAL at Budokan would be one of them. I think most idols take 6 months between the concert and the DVD so I guess it would be around September.

I agree, Moa is a pro when it comes to interviews and speaking in public. Poor Yui always looks a little scared but that's part of the charm.

 

It's sad that they'll graduate next year. I bet they are going to miss doing something more "idolish", specially Moa who seems to be born to do it.

Do we know if Sonisphere airs on Tv? Japan has spoiled me because they record every festival that ever happens.

The girls are ready for a crowd that size. I don't know if the crowd will be ready for BABYMETAL

^ Last? I thought you were supposed to read those things upside down. I mean Babymetal, then Ghost... with the final act being IRON MAIDEN. (it's surreal to be able to say that)

I definitely think you start reading from the bottom and go up until the main event. So BABYMETAL will be the opening act and Iron Maiden will close.

 

You just have to look at the size of the name to see who's going to be last. What is more, I don't think the girls would be allowed to perform late at night, so it's understandable that they'll go first.

Hmm Sonisphere tweet that BM will have the full band and also a big show. If I take that to mean the full pyro and laser show, I don't see how that works in the daytime on the main stage, unless it's something else. Anyway will just to wait for official announcement of show time.

I thought about the show and pyro as well, but since they've also played daytime shows in japan like Inazuma Rock Festival I don't know anymore.

 

Maybe this is just a preliminary list of groups and has nothing to do with order. Let's hope the girls get to show in full the epic concerts they're able to give.

It must be an amazing feeling being 16-15 and being told that your concert in the UK sold out in a day so they're moving you to a bigger venue.

 

The same goes for the Sonisphere concert, but I imagine that made them more nervous.

^ Moa has grown up so much, she is the one who has changed the most. They put Yui in that awful hairstyle again, I prefer how they style them for BABYMETAL.

 

I find it amusing how people are sitting down in Sakura Gakuin lives. During Suzuka's graduation live (when they performed Headbanger) I could feel the audience going insane and jumping on their seats. Yet nobody stood up.

For me it was youtube who afer all the Momoiro Clover Z I has been watching suggested BABYMETAL. Back then they've just released Megitsune and I loved it. I devoured all their PVs and all the lives I could find of them.

It's been a while since we had news about what the girls were up to. But now the news could't be better, photoshoot in New York!

 

Is it just me o Suzuka looks a bit different in those pictures?

^ Moa is hard to spot now. I used to look for the shortest one, now that doesn't apply. And that side ponytail makes her look more respectable

It's great that we're getting a lot of subbed things.

 

I love how the girls don't try to lie saying "Oh yeah we've always been heavy metal fans" thinking that would gain them more respect. Instead they just tell the truth, they didn't know metal before but now they like what they're doing. That's all I need.

I guess they prepared something to announce it while they were in NY. I looks like they'll be travelling on Metallica's luggage, following them from festival to festival.

I like how they are almost in the middle of the poster. One day they'll be the main event 

I wonder if this means they won't be doing japanese festivals this summer.
