About "Kami Band"

BABYMETAL's live backing band is called "Kami Band". Before the concert 'Legend "I"' (2012 Oct. 6), BABYMETAL performed all with the playbacked music and the fake band dressed in bone suit. In Legend "I" & "Z", Kami Band appeared on the encore and played only 2 or 3 tunes. In 2013 May-Nov., BABYMETAL held more concerts performing all with Kami Band than all without Kami Band. In their first arena solo concert (2013 Dec.), the fans expected BABYMETAL would perform all with Kami Band, but Kami Band played only 4 tunes in the encore.

The members of Kami Band are not disclosed, but the devout fans have found the information from Twitter, etc., and listed up in Wikipedia. In the latter half of 2013, the members are roughly fixed but some were absent in some concerts because some belongs to other band, and others are skillful musicians hired for other sessions. And almost of the recording musicians were not credited in the CD singles (some kami may have played in them).

Gabriel Castillo from Cypress, CA has start a petition to get BABYMETAL at the next Anime Expo in Los Angeles that’s gonna take place from july 3 to july 6 at the Los Angeles Conventions Center

 

BABYMETAL is a rising “Kawaii-Metal†band in Japan. They are slowly but surely reaching out past Japan and to the rest of the world.

 

If Anime Expo were to invite them to perfom, they would be a huge hit! They have performed at other Anime conventions and festivals with great success. I believe if they were to be invited to perfom, it would be great exposure to a western audience and a memorable performance.

So I saw Babymetal on the Youtubers react thing for the first time and I was just like "HOW DID I NEVER KNOW ABOUT THEM  "

 

I'm totally into them now, lol. I need to download and watch all the things.

Looks like there are no more suggestions for the badges? Are you guys good if I make the voting thread now? 

 

Also, I read the rules for new custom badges and holy shit, it's 250,000 won for one new custom award and we'd need 4 for the group + all the individual awards. I'd definitely pay for the group award myself though.

They're getting recognized in the West now, but I think their evolution in Japan has been quite solid. They started in small concerts lip-syncing everything except for headbanger.

 

Now they have become the youngest act to sold out Budokan, in a two day concert! With SUMETAL singing everything live (she's been doing that for over a year) and also with a live metal band.

 

These girls have work really hard to be where they are now. I'm so proud of them.

 

Wow thats amazing! They give such strong performances at such a young age.

 

 

Listened to their whole album I think the only song I disliked was Babymetal Death. lol
