Like people wearing K-pop shirts or just like I heart kpop or smth

I personally have seen BTS merch a couple of times and GOT7 once

It can be cringy (especially if it's super obvious that they are a kboo) but can also be just like whatever, they're wearing a BTS Sweater lol

You can only find people wearing merchandise cringey if you're insecure about your own interest in KPOP.

The only people who are going to recognize the merch for what it is are those who know and have interest in kpop anyway so I can't see how people who have confidence in themselves to express their interests can be considered cringey

A bit weird, but that’s only because I’m not used to seeing it much

I, myself, own a Suga varsity jacket and it’s so warm~ I wouldn’t give it up no matter how ‘cringey’ It is.

I have an overdose sweater and a lot of people have been like "oh I love your sweater, where'd you get it?"

so tbh as long as it looks good I'm fine

If it's just a group shirt it's fine but if it's a fucking "sleep kpop repeat" or shit like that it's very cringey

Merch is merch. Example: If you think someone wearing Gryffindor sweatpants is fine/normal but feel embarrassed when you see someone with an EXO varsity jacket then you need to rethink your priorities imstupid.png just my two cents.

Let people be into whatever fandoms they want to be, it's not hurting anyone or anything. People should feel comfortable enough to wear their merch in public without feeling like they'll be judged. Plus, wearing merch is a fun way to identify other fans -- you might receive a compliment, which will make you feel happy, or you may even be able to make new friends with similar interests.

I find it tacky in the same way I find an "I Heart New York" t-shirt tacky. If the design is subtle enough I might wear it, but other than that it's not something I'd keep in my wardrobe. I'm just not one for advertising my hobbies or interests through my clothing, but hey if people want to do that they have every right to.
