Saint Ren 4,272 Posted October 22, 2017 Share Posted October 22, 2017 I'm slowly getting into NCT aka Renjun and Ten, so I don't keep up with NCT 127 but I saw on twitter that they're heading to Japan. Which I'm really disappointed about because I thought Japan would have it's own unit. So has SM thrown the whole unit thing out the window, is NCT 127 & Dream all we're getting? But I still think they start with NCT 127 in Japan and then maybe we will get a Japan unit.(hopefully) Btw come and ask in the NCT thread next time. I remember that, it was awful and the rules were so simple, Exo M in China, Exo K in Korea and then all together for full album comebacks and SM couldn't even stick to it, so I have no idea why they thought they could take that plan to the next level with NCT . LMAOO Also OP they're heading to Japan? Do you mean to perform in festivals which they've been doing for a while now everywhere, trying to promote NCT perhaps before they launch a regional unit? Idk they still have SM rookies that seem ready to debut.. plus there's that rumored NCT Asia? I think SM suffered a lot from THAAD and the ban, everyone knew they were planning to debut NCT China next but the political issue changed everything and it probably made things quite messy for SM.. I don't get what was the purpose of the whole system if NCT 127 were gonna promote everywhere....Would have been better to make them a "normal" Kpop group and call it a day. There’s no certainty for any member and Ten may very well not debut in a Japanese subunit even if they debuted one instead of sending nct127. It sucks, especially if your faves aren’t promoting, but there’s really nothing to do but wait and see. They're the Korea unit, the whole point of their unit is to promote/do festivals etc in Korea, not anywhere else. If SM wanted them to do performances outside of Korea then they should have made them a normal group and not a unit. It makes no sense to send them to Japan, get them a fandom or attention and then just drop another unit with different members, it's what happened with NCT U, they promoted NCT, got some attention and some hype and then they dropped different units, which just confused people and turned them away. Hansol suddenly ups and leaves to be a choreographer but is now on the unit show. Then Mark graduates from Dream because he hit 18 but 4 members are going to be hitting 18 next year and I doubt SM is going to let all 4 graduate in the same year. NCT 127 being an international group makes zero sense in the grand scheme of things, they debuted as the Seoul unit not as the Asia/international unit, it's just SM trying to cover their ass now that everything is going wrong and I only care because Ten is in their dungeon and won't get out if they don't drop another unit or add him to 127.
