ArticleChoi Siwon apologizes over death of restaurant owner "I feel deeply responsible"

Source: E-Daily via Naver

1. [+18,049, -176] There's a clear problem at hand, this isn't the first time this has happened. I think we need to take after how the west handles this and start putting restrictions on dog owners. The west has a highly developed culture around dog ownership but also a lot of restrictions to go with it. If humans have the right to own dogs, then responsibility needs to follow.

2. [+16,732, -649] What consequences? What apology? What has he done since his dog killed a person?

3. [+11,790, -753] So what action is he going to take? Is he going to keep the dog alive?

4. [+4,539, -245] The problem is that he was posting that dog on his Instagram even till yesterday after that dog had killed someone

5. [+4,082, -212] Hul that dog belonged to Choi Siwon??????

6. [+3,436, -52] Dog owners, please leash your dogs and wear muzzles if necessary... it's for the best for all of us

7. [+3,414, -120] Hul, the world is so small.. whoever's relative of Choi Siwon it was that did it, it totally shattered his image... it's murder...

8. [+3,167, -74] I honestly don't know why he's apologizing on instagram of all places. Please go to the family and apologize in person...

1. [+477, -7] Why isn't he apologizing to the family? Why on his SNS where only his fans read?

2. [+406, -5] He's writing a lot of things that are bound to cause misunderstandings

3. [+359, -2] He really thinks an apology is all it will take to put an end after killing someone? This is murder, he should be in jail

4. [+323, -4] He really calls that an apology?

5. [+201, -1] All you stupid SM fans, if Choi Siwon's family was bitten to death by someone's dog, you'd all be up in arms calling for the death penalty on them

6. [+160, -2] How poorly was this dog kept that it killed someone

7. [+141, -0] This is really bad

8. [+111, -0] Well it's his dad's dog so he needs to pay the consequences for it

-

Source: Nate

1. [+1,925, -38] Hul, the dog owner was Choi Siwon's dad??

2. [+1,990, -109] What do you mean the cause of death can't be sure? He was biten to death by the dog... He's really blaming a second infection during the treatment process? Come on man, don't be like this

3. [+1,841, -169] Shouldn't the dog be put down since it killed someone?

4. [+208, -10] So what he's saying is... it's true that the person was bitten by his family's dog... but the possibility remains open that the bite wasn't what killed him. Probably just trying to pay the family off!!

5. [+194, -4] What a small world... the Hanilkwan restaurant owner was killed by a dog owned by Choi Siwon's father...

6. [+190, -6] His apology is pointless. The deceased man would've never had to go to the hospital and exposed himself to chances of infection if he was never bitten by the dog in the first place. At this point, he just needs to put the dog to sleep and apologize.

7. [+179, -6] Why is he even bringing up that whole point about a second infection? The whole reason the man had to go to the hospital was because he was bitten by the dog... Way to kill his family twice.

8. [+153, -6] "Can't be sure of the cause of death"? None of this would've happened if he was never bitten in the first place ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ "a problem during the treatment" ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ wow, so shameless

9. [+140, -0] Choi Siwon lives in the Hyundai apartments and the deceased lived in the Hyundai apartments. Do not deflect blame by saying the dog belongs to his family. The dog lived with Choi Siwon in his apartment.

10. [+137, -4] He's really trying to deflect blame with this... what kind of apology is this at all?

11. [+128, -2] The dog was already famous for belonging to Choi Siwon, why say it belongs to his dad?

-

1. [+1,217, -79] He acts all chic with all his connections to famous business owners... and now he ends up killing a famous Korean restaurant owner. Can't believe Choi Siwon was the dumb family that kept a bull dog with their front door open and without a leash.. I can't believe the shock I'm feeling or that this is even happening before SuJu's comeback.

2. [+1,213, -81] A person was killed and he just posts an apology on SNS and thinks it'll blow over... what a scary world

3. [+1,158, -64] So shameless how he deleted all his pictures of the bull dog on his Instagram... so cruel

4. [+139, -0] It's not his family's dog, it's his own personal dog!!! Why did he suddenly delete all the pictures of his dog on his Instagram to act like it belongs to his family!!??

5. [+130, -0] Why only apologizing now when it happened in September? And why are you calling it your family's dog when you live in the Hyundai apartments and so did the man who was killed?

6. [+98, -1] So the man was killed in September and he never said a word until now that the scandal is growing ã…¡ã…¡

7. [+87, -3] His father wrote a post deflecting blame... both of them should not be apologizing to the public but to the family. And please put that dog to sleep.

8. [+84, -6] So if my dog killed your father, are you going to just let that go too?

9. [+76, -3] Isn't this basically murder? He basically committed murder and he's like "I didn't do it~ my dog did~ sorry~"

10. [+75, -0] If this family has any ounce of respect, they'd put the dog down. Their dog killed not only the CEO of a restaurant but a father of a family too.

Article: Past post of Choi Siwon mentioning french bull dogs "they bite humans"... did he already know they were aggressive?

Source: Korea Econ via Nate

1. [+471, -22] The man who was killed is the CEO of a famous restaurant which is why this is all in the media in the first place... if he was a nobody, it scares me to think that they would've just kept living like nothing ever happened

2. [+419, -23] The dumbest thing anyone can say is "my dog is nice", "my dog doesn't bite ^^" ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ we live in a world where dogs turn on even their own owners. Please start fining people who don't keep their dogs leashed outside.

3. [+363, -29] Love how they kept quiet this entire time until people started taking an interest in it;;; and it's not even an apology but deflecting blame saying "yeah our dog bit him but that's not why he died" ã…¡ã…¡ are they not going to put the dog down?

4. [+43, -2] They also threw a birthday party for the dog after the man passed away... that's scary

5. [+34, -3] He was posting pictures of the dog even after the person was killed. Only after this hit the media did he delete all the pictures and post up an apology. They would've brushed this under the rug if the media never got a hold of it.

Lemmie pause

What type of dog were they raising that it can kill someone with its bites

0gFU0zl.jpg

He died from sepsis.

Probably thought the dog had all vaccines and didn't bother to go to a hospital; can't really blame him on doing that, since a good percentage of people would just do the same.

The fact he was 53 also may have some sort of impact on how the case rapidly evolved to a septic shock.

Still boggles my mind.... an actual person has died. It may not have been a murder, but still justice still need to be done. You can't cause someone death and just say "sorry" and that's it.

Unless the family of the deceased speaks up that how he handled it in private was bad then put back your brain and understand the sorry on IG was for his 'fans"

He has no business being sorry to his fans. They are not the ones who died...

Gosh, I even thought this was a troll story but someone fucking died... In the U.S he would be sued very rightfully to pennies.

he should be in jail because his dog bit someone? not saying the choi family doesn't have to do something about this, but this is too much. some of these comments are so ?? i'm pretty sure siwon and his family already talked with the man's family and they released a apology on their sns because of the media already talking about it.

He has the right to say sorry to anyone he pleases. He isnt doing anything wrong by saying sorry to his fans. Plus it is just a public sorry not whatever he is doing in private to the deceased family members

it's not a matter of vaccines, dogs mouths carry bacteria that can make humans sick if it's introduced.

The dog didn't bite him to death, it wasn't a mauling. Either the bite introduced bacteria that caused the infection, or the dog bite wound allowed bacteria to be introduced.

People don't address aggression in small dogs because they can't do much physical damage. But really, no one foresees this.

Wow "put back your brain".... i guess you are the sort that enjoys personal attacks on people who doesn't have the same opinion as yours. I won't dignify that with an answer nor will i decend to that.

In regards to the matter on hand, i admit i don't know whether something was done in private however nothing was said nor mentioned about that either so we can only form opinion with what info we are given. If it turns out something was done, then i apologise. But question remains, what if there wasn't?

I must say though, fans like you who are oh so aggresive to just tiny bit of comment and critique are the reasons people are staying well off idols.

The guy got an infection after being bitten. That's the actual cause of death. Still, the dog and Siwon's father hold responsability for not keeping it leashed.

My sister got bite from a dog once, still has the scar bite. Man was it a huge dog and chased after her too.

My mom didnt think to take my sister to the hospital. The infection was from the bite of the dog from not having proper vaccine or not taking bite that it got infected

Bit? I'm all for animal rights but how is that dog still alive? My friends dog bit someone, didn't kill the person but still got put down. Siwons killer dog here is still free to roam about freely •~•

I have always wondered why they kill an animal when it hurts a human but in some places like where I live they don't really kill a human that kills another human...

And killing an animal for biting someone is heartless

I myself have been bitten by a dog and I would never want it to die no matter how angry and hurt I was back then.

To be honest, even I think that's too much but I'm a hypocrite, if this happened to my family. I'd be screaming bloody murder.
