1. Each player starts with two credits as starting wealth

2. You also start with two cards called influencers. Influencers have powers which are listed on the card. I will private message you the cards which you can not reveal to anyone.

3. You will need to survive with your two cards. Your goal is to eliminate other people's cards/influences because you want to be the last one standing with at least one card in your deck.

 

4. Each turn, you can choose to:

a) Take Income

b) Take Foreign Aid, can be blocked by Duke

c) Use your influence card on another player

d) Do a coup to kill a player once you collect 7 credits

 

5.  These are the possible powers for each card. It explains what moves you make for someone to lose an influence.

Players take turns and choose one of the available action on the cards in hand or bluff and take a different action. Make sure to bold the action you are picking including the character name if you are using one.

For example: you can just say Captain, steal 2 coins “player name†or I’m the captain & I’m stealing coins from “player name†You’ll have up to 2  minutes to post what actions you’re doing. If you fail to post within those 2 minutes then your turn will be skipped.(This time limit is for the beginning of each turn)  

 

Special Note Scenario:

Say Amy, Bob, and Cindy are playing the game. Amy uses an assassin to attempt to assassinate one of Cindy's characters.
1. May Bob attempt to block that assassination attempt, as well as Cindy?

No, you can only protect yourself.

 

6. A twist is that you can lie about your power, but you can be challenged by another player. If you are challenging a player, bold the word Challenge with their name. The first challenge request that is posted will be the one counted.

 

A player can choose to challenge you and call you out for lying. If you are lying, you lose your card/influence. But if you actually have the card, then the other player loses their influence. As a result, you reshuffle your card back to the deck.

 

Keep in mind:

You will have 1 minute to submit a challenge or block after I post what action the current player has taken, if it’s a challengeable/blockable action. You’ll then have 2 minutes to either confirm your challenge or cancel it. If you don’t respond within those 2 minutes then your challenge will automatically go through.

NOTE: If a player who is challenging changes their mind, they can take back their challenge & nothing will be lost from either players. Say “Cancel Challenge.“

 

Overall winner: Game ends when all but 1 player is eliminated.

 

 

Character Action Cards:

There are five different characters in the influence deck (three copies of each character).

-You can only challenge what action a person is claiming during that round.

-No editing post.

-No cheating please.

-Do not discuss the game outside of the gameplay thread.

-Do not make pm’s asking players what card they have or share any information from the gm pm, unless instructed to.

-Actions of players will happen in the gameplay thread.

 

 

Keep in mind this is another beta & my first time ever co-hosting. So please have patience with us, if things get a little messy.

Yeah, learning & understanding the rules is a little overwhelming but once you play & understand how the game is played, it's actually pretty simple. If you need something to be broken down or if you're confused by anything feel free to ask questions.

you basically get 2 random cards with powers and you want to be the last one standing with at least 1 card

tokens give you the ability to take someone's card away

however you earn those token through the power of the card

twist: you can lie about one of your card by using those powers. however someone can challenge you if they suspect you and you can lost your card that way too.
