Am I the only person who don't want to be friends with my biases?

I know we're all in K-Pop and we all have our faves. But I wonder if I'm the only one who would like to never meet my bias in person or be introduced to them from a personal point of view (except through concert or a fan event)? This sort of triggered me because of the sasaeng stuff recently like fans wanting to get flight info or the Kakao Talks of idols.

K-Pop and stanning is a hobby of mine. I kind of like the whole ignorance is bliss concept, and just absorbing the content and entertainment, as well as the performances/music. But I realize once this "fantasy" is broken for me, I couldn't stan anymore (will still probably like their content, but not in a stan pov any longer...and lbh, being a stan is fun)

I used to follow a popular youth reality show when I was in highschool (around 2005) and ended up stanning one of the contestants (and boy did I stan him hard - to the point I was part of online message boards and fan projects for him). Fast forward a couple of years later he ends up in my college statistics class. Was also friends with some of the people I knew in uni. Now that we know each other, my ass will never admit I was his diehard stan (he's still active on TV back in my home country, so there's that).

I personally find fan-idol dynamics really fun, there's so much love & care on both sides but still with a mystery that keeps it exciting. I don't know. I'd honestly rather remain a fan of my faves.

Yeah I agree, there are some idols I would want to be friends with, but not shinee. I just really enjoy being their fan. I cant really fangirl over them if Im super close to them. Plus I have a hard time listening to people I know's music -- its cringey for me even if its good lol.

I would love to be friends with my bias, but I know I'll never actually be close with him irl. Maybe it's just another aspect of being a fan, to imagine how you might get along if you actually met them.

I personally like worshiping them and see them as these special angels that can't possibly be real.

If I see them as real then I would need to face the the other real things as well (ex. pick their noses, fart, scratch their butts, have bad breath, smelly feet... you get the idea)

So, I would not want to be their friends. They can stay within the realms of my fantasy world.

im the other percent that would love to be friends with my bias. i’m not really the ‘fangirl’ type.

i’m not really concerned about their imagine outside of the tv for them. they’re human too, but if it’s something horrible i wouldn’t be friends with them.

i probably wouldn’t get along with some members of my favorite groups anyways lol
