K-pop fans, what do you think about Japan's top ggs (not AKB)?

They're better than most kpop songs this year imo, and the concepts are edgier/more distinctive.

Futari Saison is still probably the best 46 group song though.

The top girl groups in Japan are probably Perfume, Nogizaka46, Keyakizaka46 and AKB48, but they have different strengths. Right now I'd say the 46 groups are on top.

I like Keyakizaka46 a lot. I guess I'm a casual fan? Their songs are better than most Kpop gg songs this year.

 

I'm not as familiar with Nogizaka46 but Influencer is a good song.

What about Perfume and E-girls? They're some of the top girl groups, too. Or, they seem to be according to that Nikkei(?) dot chart.

They usually take a couple of months to upload them onto their Taiwan channel. And that's Getsuyobi no Asa Sukatoo wo Kirareta

Keyaki and Nogi's songs are richer in quality than most kpop songs. They're the sole reason I switched to jpop again after so many years

This might sound rich coming from a kpop stan, but them all having black dark hair and going for the highschool student concept so often makes it really hard for me to notice one member in special and nobody in particular stands out to me

Not sure if I am more a kpop or jpop fan these days but so far I prefer the AKB48 songs I like, especially slightly older team A songs. But I might get into the other groups one day.

I absolutely fell in love with keyaki. 

 

I spent last weekend watching their performances from their debut concert till now. really enjoyed mtv vmaj and rock in japan festival performances.

I didn't like Keyaki's song in the beginning but started liking it after 1:07. It is something I would jam to again.

Some of the gg songs I've heard are quite nice. I think I could get into them but the groups are too huge...

 

There is a song I'm trying to find tho but I don't even know how to explain the mv as I don't remember much. The mv was quite dramatic and beautiful. It takes place in a field and an old Japanese house. They had on a red dress with red strings at some point. I think one of the popular members of the group retired this year.
