We're not ot7 heavy at all lol. You would be surprised by the amount of akgae fans. At one side you have maknae stans not paying attention to hyung line, on the other you have hyung line stans that either don't care about the maknaes or take every opportunity to drag Jungkook. Least popular is definitely Joon and probably Hoseok though Hoseok might be slightly more popular then Jin is probably a bit more popular than Hoseok. Yoongi is the most popular of the hyung-line, but definitely not as popular as Jimin. Like if I had to make a ranking with 100 points. Number of posts in individual threads on OH? Fancam views? Gut feelings? I just don't see how this is something anyone can actually answer beyond maknae line > hyung line, which seems to be the closest anyone will ever actually get to accuracy. But a definitive ranking is something that's really hard to make since it depends on whether we're talking about within the hardcore fandom, within more casual fans, or within the GP. And even just within the fandom it varies country to country. An example: I met two RM fans quite unexpectedly last night. RM has done many collabs with hiphop artists, so people know him both in Korea and internationally. I have a couple of friends in Korea who have known him since 2015, and are fans of his work outside of BTS, but don't watch any BTS-related content since they're not into BTS or even into kpop (they're k-hiphop fans). I was at my best friend's birthday party just last night and was really surprised that two of the guys there were kpop fans. They were both mostly girl group and k-hiphop fans, but they both knew who RM was and who he had collabed with. They loved Gajah and were excited for any future solos he might have. His fans might not be as visible as some other members', and they probably won't spend their time streaming his MVs since they're on the older side, but they are very much waiting for his next solo project. Just wanted to share that since it shows how useless it can be to look at things like youtube individual cam views or v app views. Neither one of the fans above would have been detected on either one of those platforms because their way of being fans is just listening to his music when it comes out. Too many other things have too many variables and subjectivity thrown in. Rn i think it's the closest to accurate bc it's not super affected by different ways to inflate popularity. I started following their numbers earlier this year and they've all had slow and steady gains, not a crazy explosion on any one or more of the members. but also, the bolded, so yeah They all are some of the most followed idols on Melon.
