even tho the show is mostly giving already debuted idols another chance, the actual requirements for auditioning and going on the show are pre broad. correct me if i'm wrong, but i think pre much any idol as long as they're currently not a trainee. the while point really is to just get ppl some promo, so i think since he's on it for that popularity boost since he's new
