Hello, i realized my view of life is wrong. to be specific, being thankful vs complaining/criticizing/being constantly angry.

I used to believe that it was "realistic" or "honest" to be angry about life, if i had one bad thing happen while 100 other good things happening, if i had one bad thing happen that isn't actually so bad... i would choose to focus, magnify, intensify on that one bad thing...

I'm one of those people who just constantly rants or has something to complain about life or people in general...

but i realized, yes although anger is a  normal human emotion, being constantly angry is just being spoiled and entitled...theres nothing wrong with looking for better things or ways to improve your life but look for it with a hopeful and THANKFUL heart, don't look for it while hating what you have or don't have...

I read a tweet a few weeks ago, "if you have a problem with almost everyone you meet, chances are YOU are the problem" sometimes picking out a person's flaws can give me a false sense of confidence, its easy and quick but ultimately pointless and if i need such a cheap boost of self confidence..then i must be the really miserable one

i think its best to know when to tolerate another person's flaws, sometimes tolerating a person's flaws does not mean you are a doormat or a pushover. Of course, there are many flaws you cannot stand for, like abuse, other forms of hurting.

point is, dont not tolerate everything but don't tolerate everything as well...the best lessons for me was meeting more people that way i understood people more, yous could be different though. watch and learn and change

It can be hard to make that realization too. When you're desperately in need of confidence you'll do whatever it takes. But you're right that tolerating a persons flaws doesn't make you a pushover. Forgiveness is a big component and though i'm not currently a practicing christian I always remember that bible passage about taking out of the log in your own eye before pointing out the speck in your neighbors. I personally live by the motto, do no harm but take no shit, You shouldn't be afraid to stand up for yourself. But you also shouldn't use demeaning others as a sense of false confidence. Just my two cents.
