Also, SM is still getting some of his profit till today (he's required to split his earnings with them) BTS and Got 7 charting as well. Like I said, it'll take time for him to be able to truly shake that off...just like how Justin Timberlake took time for the NSync tag to go. For the casual K-Pop fan, Kris will always be associated with EXO. If you were to randomly ask an American if they knew who Kris Wu is.... what would their response be? The very same could go for any solo/group trying to break into the US. Sis before you even achieve a name recall kind of status, you gotta go through the steps. Many Asian artists don't even reach this level, and tbh it can be pushed further.
