His beautiful hair I think I can count the number of male idols who I think look good in buzz cuts and while Hyukjae is super cute in his army photos I want his regular hair back, it looks so soft and nice

Even if I clearly miss all the hairstyles he had these last years, I think he looks really, really great these days. It's obviously a very simple haircut, and it's far from being his best, but it shows that, contrary to all the horrors we can read out there, he doesn't need any fancy hair color (or makeup) to look amazing.

Oh, don't get me wrong - he looks very good still! I just prefer him with longer hair, because I think it flatters his face much better than a buzzcut, which tend to be a bit more awkward-looking on most people. And yes, he's really handsome even without make-up - a lot of people imply that he only looks because they've caked a ton of make-up on his face and countoured all his "imperfections", but jokes on them, he's naturally handsome <3

I love Don't Wake Me Up as well; I love too many D&E songs actually I've tried to establish something like a top 10, but the struggle is real...

The things you say about his dancing is so true. His moves are so precise and smooth that he can transform any simple choreography into something really enjoyable. I often have a hard time detaching my eyes from him when the whole group is performing!

We're going to try something together..." it's also hard to understand because he tries to pronounce every letter, even when there's no need to insist on them ^^

We both do, we're D&E trash remember I can't establish a top ten either - well, I know it doesn't have a lot of their songs from Ride Me, which was their weakest album - but we're so spoiled for choice!

Even Ride Me has its bunch of really great songs - my personal faves from this album are Kimi Ga Naitara, Love that I need and Hello - but my top 10 would be mostly full of songs from TBGO tbh. I can't even think of my least fave song from TBGO... Light, Camera, Action! maybe? But I'm not even sure, I still love it a lot and would have a hard time excluding it from a top 10...

My personal faves off Ride Me are Hello, Teenage Queen and Kiss Kiss Dynamite - but I'd agree, definitely those off TBGO and maybe Present, and Winter Love of course! I need a Winter Love studio version already ;_; Oh, I know what my least fave song off TBGO is - the song titled The Beat Goes On! It's too electronic and monotone for me. I'm such trash for Lights, Camera, Action, I love that song to bits no matter how ridiculous it is I always giggle when Hyuk sings the line "looking at my swag" like Hyuk pls stop.

I don't like Teenage Queen that much for me it's the D&E equivalent of Too Many Beautiful Girls... that I don't like as well ;)

I love The Beat Goes On (the song) I know that many people don't like it though. This One Piece loving nerd I haven't read One Piece in two years OTL I should go catch up but I'm lazy

My confession: I've never read One Piece...

We both don't like Too Many Beautiful Girls...but for some reason, despite how Western Teenage Queen sounds (obviously!), I somehow enjoy it a lot. I don't know why!

Haha, no matter how much I try, I just can't get into it I don't have a music library - but I do have a portable CD player...I'm such a dinosaur at my age - and I'm trying to save up for the albums ;_; But I'd say I play Growing Pains, Sweater & Jeans, Winter Love, Mother, Motorcycle, Can You Feel It...so many! How does one choose? I listen to Oppa Oppa a lot despite the fact that it's such a dumb song...

Yeah, I was not surprised to read that Teenage Queen was a 5SOS song. I don't find it bad though, it's just not my taste ;)

A portable CD player? Wooow yeah it reminds me of my childhood, it's cute ^^ haha the first time I've heard Oppa Oppa, this was my face ->>> I laughed so hard when I heard Donghae at the beginning... but yeah, now it seems I can't stop replaying it! Hahaha the OP of the thread also... reacted to that pic when she saw it xD I personally find it quite funny, I mean, is that man really trying to tease us with one poor bare shoulder, when he basically spends his time running around half-naked on stage?

Joking, joking! I read it a lot about two years ago - it was pretty entertaining and funny at the start, the art was good, the characters were well-written, and the plot was intriguing. Then around the halfway mark of the story, when there was a time-skip, the story began to go downhill. The characters (especially the female ones) weren't as well-written anymore, plot lines became repetitive, the story began to drag in places, and overall quality just went down. So I haven't read it in ages; maybe I'll pick it back up again someday. Get better taste in anime and manga Lee Hyukjae! Well maybe I should just be glad he isn't a huge Naruto fan...because Naruto was terrible for years and had an utterly awful ending.

I feel like I should make an even bigger confession...

I've never read any manga.

But I have an excuse! Let's just say that, with my studies and my (ex-)job, my "compulsory" reading list never really gave me the opportunity to explore other genres...

It's really Western sounding, so I wasn't surprised either. Even though I've never listened to 5SOS. I don't know why I like it but oh well, I'm not complaining ;) Haha, I'm terrible with technology - I had a button-phone up until the end of 2014, and am always struggling with my smartphone - I'm just like Donghae ;_;

As long as your smartphone doesn't end up like Donghae's...

Can somebody explain for what song is that Donghae gets dressed up to go to a wedding? His wedding? To Hyukjae? And Why is Donghae always the bride and never the groom?

Or just tell me why????? Why? Why?

I'm a fairly new fan and just very confused as to why these two feel the need to fuel the fire that is EunHae.

Sorry for asking so many questions.

But these two confuse me. One day they are literally all over each other and the next they are on a tv show denying to all hell and back that they are together. Even being uncomfortable to jump rope together.

According to the page where I've found these gifs, the 1st one comes from the D&E Present Tour in Hong Kong, and the 2nd gif is from SS3 in Taiwan. I don't know if it was during songs - I guess those things were gifted by ELFs and they just played the game? There is a gif of that SS3 moment where both of them are "brides", btw ;)

Tbh, this is a discussion that is always difficult for me, but I'm going to try!

For my opinion to be a little more understandable, I consider myself to have been a "real" ELF since 2015 only, and the only thing I ship is their friendship, but at the same time I don't judge people who ship them as a "couple" at all (as long as it remains fun and not extreme) and I'd 100% support them if they were really together.

Well, I think that they are aware that the Eunhae ship is very important for their business? Of course they have talent, of course they are successful because of it, but a part of their popularity has also been established through their closeness; most of us love seeing them interact, as friends, or as a "couple". For many of their fans, they are inseparable, so fueling that fire = please the fans. In my opinion, I guess that being best friends + naturally clingy/playful (for Donghae at least) is what can make them seem real... About that TV show and the rope thing, we mustn't forget the fact that they admitted that their friendship went through difficult moments last year, and that they were going to enlist soon (being a suspected homosexual in the Korean Army does not sound like a great experience...). I think it makes their uncomfortable behavior more understandable. And tbh, if they are indeed not together, I understand that the whole thing might be difficult to bear, sometimes. If it's the case, we can't really pity them and say it's not their fault, because as you say, they fuel that fire themselves; but I think they might have difficulties to deal with the consequences of it when they're just not in the mood to pretend (for whatever reason).

Aaaaaand... I ended up writing an essay. Sorry for that!

It's ok. I like reading people's thoughts about these two. And yes I do think that their enlistment played a part in their sudden denial of all things EunHae. But then again let's remember it was after this that SUJU conveniently changed their age order so that Donghae was suddenly older than Siwon (because of the technicality of Siwon being registered at a later date than Donghae) and thus allowing EunHae to give their messages to each other at last year's Super Camp. It's like SUJU wanted them to give each other those messages.

I also would 100% support them if they were really a couple. But I guess that it is easy to say if you live in a relatively liberal/Western country. It is easy for us to say why don't they just give Knetz the middle finger and just admit their real feelings (romantic/if there are any). But sometimes I have to step back and remember that this is Korea and what works in one country doesn't work in another. Sometimes I feel bad for those idols who might be hiding their true selfs to appease their closed-minded society.

Sorry for turning this into an EunHae thread. But it seems like we can't talk about Eunhyuk without mentioning Donghae and vice versa.

Nah don't be sorry! I talk too much about Donghae here anyway partly because he's my #1 bias haha I have to write that in HYUKJAE'S thread, the one I update everyday, but Hyukjae is a close 2nd so I guess I'm forgiven xD, but especially because it's hard to talk about Hyukjae without mentioning Donghae!

(And the OP of this thread has tried to convince me to become a Eunhae shipper for weeks so I'm sure she doesn't mind at all )

Yep, I've wondered about that message as well. My guess is that they indeed changed the age order with the purpose to make them address each other... maybe because the group thought it was a good way for them to fix their strained friendship / to reassure each other after their "reconciliation"? It depends on the course of events in their friendship problems , but if they were still awkward at that time, they might have thought it would be a good idea to express things they hadn't expressed in a while.

As you say, if they were real, I don't even imagine the pressure they would feel - them, or any other closeted idol in this industry. I sometimes wonder if, among all those kpop ships, there are indeed closeted idols who feel "forced" (by companies/fans) to play the fanservice game in public, without even being able to reveal that for them, it's not a game at all. I'd feel really bad for them.
