Especially when it comes to corporations known for their little to non-existent social responsibility or environmental accountability. I refuse to buy from brands involved in child/slave/exploitative labour scandals, animal testing, problematic (racist, misogynist, transphobic, queerphobic) marketing etc no matter how 'nice' their products might be, there's always a valid substitute to them. They were popular among my peers when I was in high school but I've always disliked these brands due to their clothing essentially making you look like a walking billboard. It's why I don't buy from brands like A&F, Aeropostale, Hollister, or Urban Outfitters and its subsidiaries (Free People and Anthropologie) in terms of clothing.
