Q: At the start of the year, there was a cold wave in the North, Hangzhou had a few huge snowfalls, was the filming for Sweet Dreams affected? After you knocked off, did you have the chance to play with the snow or enjoy the winter scenery?

A: We still went on schedule with filming even though it was snow, previously I’ve never thought that Hangzhou would have such heavy snowfall, it was pretty fun, I haven’t seen snowfall in a long time. Previously during this season, I would be filming, either in Hengdian or Shanghai, I always thought I could only see a huge snowfall if I film in the North, so I was pretty happy this time, I recorded a lot of short videos.

Q: When you were filming Sweet Dreams in France, did you have time to walk around, have you eaten any delicious French cuisine?

A: Our filming time in France was especially short, we barely had time to walk around, even when we did have some time we were searching for Chinese restaurants. I don’t like to eat Western food for a prolonged period of time, I really do have a stomach for Chinese food. I can eat something sweet in the morning, eat all sorts of bread, but once it reaches noon, night, I’ll want to eat a proper Chinese meal. Before we left, I brought a lot of instant noodles, this time in France (I) only ate instant noodles.

Q: After becoming a lead actress, was there more stress? Were there any scenes, that you wanted to film again after thinking about it?

A: There are quite a few, especially for TV series, everyday when you return back you’ll have some scenes that you wish to act it out again; for movies it’s when they premiere, you’ll have that feeling of “if I had done another take here, I should have done this and that at this spotâ€. When you’re the lead, of course you’ll be stressed, but I don’t have that many distracting thoughts when I am filming. When it’s about to air or when it aired, that’s when the pressure is high, there’s an invisible feeling of nervousness.

Q: Shanghai Theatre Academy’s Red Building is an emotional respite or many students, when you’re tired from filming, will you recall your student days and think about your teachers, classes and classmates?

A: There are many stories in the Red Building, my first time attending a performance class, attending an actors’ lines reading class, (I) was laughing and crying while saying my lines. I had many in that Red Building, I believe that many alumni of the school can relate, seeing it gives you a feeling of returning home. The thing I miss the most are the teachers, my mentoring teacher, performance teacher, previously we said to find time to have a meal with the teachers when I return to Shanghai, but that wish has not came true yet.
