I honestly think it should be 2 million. One million as a top girl group isn't really hard to achieve, as proven by the fact that all these girls have multiple albums reach that. 2 million would be more interesting for sure, but great thread OP, I am not surprised at the slayage from all these girls

Why not? Out of all the current generation K-Pop girl groups out there, only six girl groups were able to hit this benchmark. 

 

There's plenty of fans of groups who haven't accomplished 1m digital sales who would be ecstatic to have numbers anywhere near this.

 

I think people get a little too accustomed to what the Big 5 regularly accomplish, seemingly with ease, and forget that the groups outside of the Big 5 aren't anywhere near their consistently impressive numbers.

 

This thread shows just why I like to refer to the Big 5 as the Big 5.

Gfriend has also passed 2 million, two times actually, same with BlackPink, as Square Two will pass 2 million next week, and Square One has passed it month ago. Mamamoo's album from 2016 is above 3 million
