Apparently, the Japanese are at it once more thanks to the studio that brought us Ajin and Sidonia no Kishi.

 

This time with an unexpected move: Making a brand-new instalment of the beloved Pingu franchise, which many European children have enjoyed one or two decades ago.

 

Pingu in the City's animation is 3D on its entirety, although it retains the cuteness of the original stop-motion clay visuals and allows more craziness and absurdity given the bigger liberties computer animation bestows to the staff.

No, Moomin is Finnish. Pingu is a Swiss creation.
