Valexia 1,728 Posted October 6, 2017 Share Posted October 6, 2017 Game Mechanics: This is a word deduction game. Players form two teams with one Spymaster on each team. Each Spymasters has 8 or 9 spy codenames (depending on which team starts first) in the display they need their teammates to guess by giving them one word clues. Turn Summary: The team who has 9 codenames will go first & the one with 8 will get second. The Spymaster will have 2 minutes to give a one word clue and a number. If a spymaster says zero or infinite you get an unlimited amount of guesses. The number is how many codenames in the picture that the word describes or is related to. Once the spymaster posts the hint in the gameplay thread. The field operatives(their teammates) have 2 minutes to discuss & agree on words to pick based on the hints the spymaster gave. Once the 2 minutes is up you must say what words you are picking. The final word(s) they are choosing must be bolded to count. You can either send one word in at a time or however the numbered amount the spymaster gave. If the word you choose belongs to your team color you have another chance to make a guess but you have to send it within 1 minute, after I post the previous word results. If you pick the opponents color or a bystander than your turn is automatically over. If the assassin's codename is guessed, that team loses the game. End Game/Victory: The game ends when one team's spies have all been revealed. That team wins the game. Spymaster Hint Guidelines. What’s allowed: Your hint should relate to the meaning or description of the words you’re trying to clue. Example: I want my teams to guess the words Cake & Pie. So I would say Dessert - 2 What’s not allowed: Your hint is not supposed to include the structure of the word. Examples: You can’t use foot to clue foot & football. You can’t say C to clue colors & cat You can’t use well to clue bell & cell You are not permitted to use coordinates. Here's an example of the image the spymasters will be using that states what spies are theirs: B = Blue R = Red N = Bystander X = Assassin Rules: No cheating, do not ask the spymaster to give you the words you’re trying to guess!! The spymaster please do not send your teammates the the answers. It defeats the whole purpose of the game. Do not hint the rival teams words. I will not be accepting them. Do not discuss the game outside of the gameplay thread. The spymaster has to get their hint approved by me, to make sure the hint follows the guidelines. Once the spymaster says the hint, they can’t tell their teammates what word(s) they’re alluding to in the gameplay thread. So don’t post any gifs or words that’ll give it away. When the field operatives have their final guess decided you must say “We pick blank & blank.†The word(s) you are choosing must be bolded to count. Info about the roles: Spymaster - The clue-giver Field operative - Your teammates who are trying to find the spies in their colored agencies based upon the hints given by the spymaster. Bystander - Codenames that are spread around that if you pick them, your turn will end. Assassin - Will be hidden somewhere on the word grid, that if your team picks the word you automatically loose the game. Spy - Each team has a 8 or 9 spies that represent their colored agency & they have to figure out which codenames they are Chanyeol's Sidehoes 1. Kael 2. Panwink is real 3. Baek's Flat ass 4. Moonlight 5. Sparkle Dust Red Apples 1. Vance 2. Ars Longa vita Brevis 3. Your faves are shitty 4. Betelgeuse 5. Vimy If more people want to play I can add more spots One Game Winning Team will get 10k each Loosing team will get 3k each Games last between an hour or hour & a half or less depending how quick the assassin is revealed per board.
