A lot of you tend to think everyone's out to get you or underestimate you and your faves every single moment, but this is a pretty exciting situation even for a non-EXO L like me. I may not be a fan, but I recognize worthy things when it happens - I won't downplay it or say "but xxx paved the way". It's a great moment EXO-Ls and other fans need to recognize. I posted this because while this isn't EXO's first radio play (they were played in San Francisco a few weeks back), 100.7 is a major Top 40 Radio Station in Miami - that's a fucking huge deal. I meant I entered K-Pop in 2003 (I'm almost done with my twenties lmao) and if someone told us then these stuff would be happening in 2017 (K-Pop getting radio play in Top 40 radio stations in the US, being mentioned in Vogue), we wouldn't believe you. I was actually going through IG and just saw this, and noticed no one posted it here yet. I personally don't have any horses in EXO but I'm of the super minority group who doesn't believe K-Pop cannot go mainstream globally. I really think the genre could and I feel we're on the cusp of that happening. Barriers are meant to be broken and things change/evolve all the time. My intuition might be wrong, but maybe I have blind faith lmao. I honestly get annoyed at EXO-Ls at times (but not at EXO, just to be clear) but stuff like being played in a major radio station in Miami of all places is a pretty huge deal and newsworthy imho. TBH, I think the potential for K-Pop to go mainstream is there if all these begin happening ALL AT THE SAME TIME (multiple acts getting played at once on the radio) At least, that's how it was for Japan with Kara, SNSD, Big Bang, 2PM (spearheaded by DB5K) going in for the kill all at the same time.
