Is IU the most DOMINANT force is Korean Music history?

Yes. And that's the key. "Longevity"

Some artists have huge peaks, but IU has huge peaks and longevity. She has dominated the industry within South Korea for almost a decade now completely. The GP analyze her music and personal life to levels unseen in most other artists, and she's respected as an amazing musician who regularly has impact on other artists.

In my personal opinion, by the 2020s it'll become quite clear just how massive her career has been and it's my guess she'll still be dominating even then.

Ah. Thinking about IU 2 years ago and these comments with 30k upvotes on Naver saying her career was over. Same comments she got back in 2012 after the dating scandal with Eunhyuk.

But somehow IU always manages to bounce back. Because the public trusts her music and no matter what happens in her personal life they will still stream her songs. Zeze controversy was massive and her antis went all out. This would have easily ended anyone else but look at 2017. Her public recognition is through the roof and she's been getting so much love. 9 years in the industry and still slaying the charts like it's no business. IU is there for the long run. She's there to stay.

Yes. IU for females and GD for males imo.

Like mentioned above, IU has gone through "scandals" that would have otherwise ended any other female idol's/artist's career in Korea, but she has always come back stronger than before. 50k+ likes on top comments saying her career was over in 2015 but then released the best-selling digital album this year after a 1.5 year music hiatus.. it's crazy when you think about it.

She's been in the game for 9 years and is still considered at the peak of her career. I'm so proud of her.
