Age gaps in kpop friendships

I've been into kpop since 2009/2010. So naturally I've met many types of fellow fans from all over the world online. I am in my early 30s now. I have made a few acquaintances near my age, but the VAST majority of people I come across, be on it forums, twitter or tumblr are in their teen years and mid twenties. Most of the time people aren't advertising their ages so you gotta tell by whatever info they put out like school/work etc. What I'd like to know is how others feel about being friends within the scope of kpop fandoms with others outside of their age groups? Weird, normal, doesn't matter? I can get along with anyone but of course there is that level of relatability with someone who is in my age group so its easier. But lately I've been more conscious of this topic due to people I've met recently, a handful of whom are in high school I've noticed. It's probably not worth overthinking right? Has that ever been an issue for any of you?

I'm 25 now, thankfully I got into Kpop years ago and the vast majority of my kpop friends are all in their 20's but I do know two 17 year olds, we're not friends out side of kpop e.g if their's a concert we'll go together or we'll tweet kpop stuff but that is it, I couldn't imagine actually being friends with anyone below 20.
