Who are you favorite singer-songwriters in the current pop music business?

Based on their creativity and the way they convey their story?

For me its between Lana Rel Rey & Florence Welch from Florence & The Machine.

Lana looks for inspiration in poetry and she often borrows lines from great poets. She also recycles the same lines in a lot of her songs. it might be repetitive but I think its adds to her stage persona and she had a lot of them. It also help to illustrate her story. A lot of her songs have similar themes and the ones where she repeats a certain line of a lyrics just helps to illustrate the transition of the said person in that song(s).

So who do you like? Adele? Taylor? Sia? Marina from Marina & The Diamonds? Lorde?

Agree on Lana Del Rey, LP also is amazing

I've been listening to "Other People" on repeat for quite a long time now.

Older generation of female singer-songwriters such as Kate Bush, Bjork ( who's a nutjob in the best way possible ) and Barbra Streisand are also amazing. Former Girls Aloud member Nicola Roberts co-wrote all of the song on her debut album and it was just quintessential British tongue in cheek humor in a lot of the songs.

Tyler Joseph

Name sounds familiar, he's in that Pilot duet right?

Camila Cabello

Havana oh na na, that song is a master piece

Yes, he is. Their songs' lyrics are always so deep.

YAS

Not as current as the artists you have mentioned, but I think Imogen Heap released maybe her best song ever in 2014

This year she also released Magic Me and I dig it (song starts 1:16)

If you like Bjork you might really like this song by Skott. She grew up among folk musicians like Kate Bush too.
