I think it's possible, but most men don't listen to pop music in the US. They listen to rock, country or hip-hop. Girl groups need to appeal heavily to women to do well, like Spice Girls or Fifth Harmony. Girl groups in generally never reach the level of boy groups here because of that.

TBH I think their main selling point would be because they appeal to girls - the girlcrush concept is strong with them.
