What do you think about this post on SJW (Social Justice Warriors)?

I found this thing yesterday in my dashboard and I thought it could be interesting to post it in here... well, at least for raising some awareness.

Social Justice Warriors[sJWs] are the new cancer of the internet. They’re a bunch of college-age, American-centric, special snowflakes, who feel the need to dictate anything and everything like self-entitled asshole’s.

Who gave you the position of being the internet police?
Who gave you the right to decide what words are acceptable or unacceptable to use?

Who gave you the right to judge someone’s comedy or content as bad and take it away?

Who gave you the right to constrict someone’s creativity(writing, art), because you think that it’s “problematic�

To add to that, sjws are the most racist shitholes I’ve ever seen.

You complain about racism all the time, yet you’re the one’s who look at nothing but skin color. It doesn’t matter if a character is intelligent, strong-willed, kind, or helpful. If they’re white you automatically peg them as the devil. Lupita Nyong’o won an oscar for best supporting actress and ALL I saw was people being “so happy that a woman of color won the awardâ€. Because it didn’t matter if Lupita was incredibly talented and nailed the shit out of that role, all you assholes focused on was her skin color.

You reduce everyone down to their sexuality or race or gender, without giving a crap about someone’s actual personality or character.

You lump everyone who isn’t white into a single category(POC).

I’d rather be identified by my race, and along with that it’s heritage, and culture, rather than be called 3 ambiguous letters or words. Do you know how ridiculously offensive it is to call a person someone “of colorâ€? Like we’re somehow different from people who are white? Like we need our own tag to segregate us from white people? YOU ARE MOVING SOCIETY BACKWARDS WITH THIS KIND OF SHIT. 

Racism against white people exists; not in the West, but in other parts of the world. White people are not the majorityeverywhere. You think the world evolves around America? You think every place is as diverse as America? 

Go to Africa. Go to the Middle East. Fuck, go to parts of Asia. Open a history book maybe. SJW’s are actually trying to call Irish people POC, when they are WHITE AS SNOW because they can’t stand the fact that white people have been oppressed in history.

POC’s can be racist against other POC’s. My Arabian bosshates Asians. My black grandfather doesn’t like Mexicans. 

White people are not Satan reincarnated. POC’s are not angels. Get that through your fucking head.

And stop STOP STOP speaking for other races! You’re only making yourself look stupid and like your suffering from an extreme case of white guilt.

Stop trying to pick apart every TV show/song/movie and look for thing you might deem “problematicâ€.

Go outside.

Get some air.

Stay off the internet.

Talk to actual people. Because most of you have barely any real-world experience and you will be eaten alive with your ridiculous ideologies.

And before anyone says “Well not all sjw’s are like thatâ€, I am going off of the majority of sjws on tumblr. And if I’ve learned anything from sjw’s, it’s that it’s totally fine to judge and generalize the majority. 

( The fact that I have to say that I am a black girl to avoid getting bombarded with comments like “white cishet†just shows how appalling your “movement†has become. )

People who scream and refuse to listen. Those are SJWs. They refuse to believe that a straight, cis, white person could possibly not be racist, transphobic, or homophobic. I don’t disagree that media has a very big problem as a whole with representation and white washing. I do agree that media should have a proportional representation as a bigger picture. There is nothing wrong with standing up for your beliefs and explaining to people why there are problems with certain things. However people on Tumblr rarely do that, they just scream at you, call you names, and tell you to go and educate yourself. 

 

Still, whitewashing a character in a movie is still very problematic.

For example, Oroku Saki aka The Shredder from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He is now Eric Sachs, a white dude in the new upcoming Ninja Turtles movie.

Which personally I think is slowing down progress, because people close their minds to the actual issues. I think that is what OP is getting at, and the fact that the SJW’s are causing a problem because they don’t seem to care about people gaining understanding, they just want an excuse to be a dick and often racist or prejudice themselves. Just turn the tables, some of them think that the only way people could understand the fact what minorities go through is wrong is to be oppressed themselves. 

I think many people understand the difference between people trying to explain problems our society has and how things do need to change, and the SJW who just scream at people in the manner the OP is pointing out.

The only real problem I have with sjw on tumblr is how they like to gang up on people. From what I've seen they're not receptive to criticism and are quick to jump down your throat. 

 

That aside, sometimes they do bring up valid points but the way they say it is very off-putting.

i agree with criticizing/calling out problematic things but they do the most with "white people this", "straight people that".

I get it, there is privilege that is not majorly realized and some of these privileged people tend to turn these words around instead of taking them into consideration.

This is something that has always bothered me whenever SJWs use the term POC. But it's prolly just a technical term in their field of study so I'm prolly getting it wrong or w/e.

I think those people were prejudiced in the past and ignorant of such issues but then they realised they had been blind and now try to make other realise some things but some are going too strong and being too aggressive instead of explaining calmly why what someone said is problematic.

 

On a side note: being a sjw has to be tiring, being constantly angry and in arguments have to be seriously draining.

you could play with it but if you're not familiar with coding....you yould have to change it, that's a layout made for picture/music viewing, not reading xD but obviously don't change it for that. your blog is mostly pictures anyway so it's fine

A lot of Tumblr SJWs I've seen are as bad as MRAs. They think they're being progressive, when in fact they're being as hypocritical as most conservatives. I especially hate when they twist the meaning of words to make them fit their political agenda, when they do it I really feel an unstoppable urge to hit them in the face with a dictionary. The tendency some of them have, to say that a race or a gender is inherently *something* is annoying too, because racism against black people and sexism against women started that way. I hate racism, sexism, homophobia and conservatism as much as they do, but I don't like how most of them seem to have abandoned logic and reason in favor of anger and authoritarianism - and sometimes they seem dogmatically, almost religiously sure of their beliefs; I find it quite creepy. I like people that actually explain why something is wrong and don't let themselves be chained by ideology, not people that yell at other people while not explaining anything and can't think outside of their ideological box.

Men Rights' Activists, also known as people that make some good points (example, they want people to pay more attention to rape and abuse against men, child custory issues and so on) but that most of the time are just huge misogynists that blame everything on women and/or feminism.
