Is this normal? I mean is it normal for a korean release to chart this high on oricon. I don't remember this happened before (no longer following oricon religiously post db5k lawsuit) but please correct me if I'm wrong.

Do we have the numbers how much they sold so far on oricon?

International Playboys

But they seriously deserve this. All their hardwork, for years going unnoticed and now everyone is finally paying attention and they just get to sit back and watch it happen. I'll say it over and over again: I'm so happy for them!!!!!

Lowkey getting scared on how the fandom can top the records being created by this comeback.

The good news is they're still growing on fancafe/twitter/youtube and any k-fans that were gonna be swayed by big trends are gone. We're moving from "trend group" territory to "legend" territory tbh. :hurr:

It depends on a week and most importantly day. Weekend and mondays you can sometimes be even #1 with just 1000-2000 copies sold. That's why for Oricon it's mostly 'first day' (tuesday when new releases are usually out, so wednesday chart) or weekly. But as this is a foreign releaee it was obviously not synced with Oricon release date, though they probably sold decently, groups that have a good size japanese sales usually also sell some original korean albums.

I haven't seen BTS on Oricon's daily top 10 yet, so I'm assuming that the numbers aren't out yet. They probably charted at #2 for yesterday's chart (the 25th) which should be on the Oricon site later today. Since they didn't chart before it probably mean the album wasn't available until yesterday?

I think this is a mistranslation. BTS is #2 in the weekly chart (not daily).

Are foreign albums excluded from the daily chart? I can't recall seeing Korean albums there, at least in the last few years.

Edit: Idk why this was negged lol. The daily chart is out and BTS isn't on it, so it was a mistranslation.
