On the premiere of KBS 1TV’s new drama “Andante,†fans got to see Kai transformed into a high school student. According to Nielsen Korea, the first episode brought in a national viewership average of 2.8 percent. The first episode of “Andante†introduced viewers to Kai’s character, Si Kyung, a high school boy who spends his evenings playing games and even tricks his mother with forged report cards. Because of his family’s debt, Si Kyung has to leave Seoul for his grandmother’s house in the countryside. The drama, which received a lot of interest with the casting of Kai as the lead, finished production earlier this year, yet was put off due to troubles finding the proper broadcasting time and channel. Currently, the drama holds a place on KBS 1TV’s Sunday morning schedule and has received a good reception from viewers. I know I'm heavily biased but I really think he did an excellent job ^^ I love seeing this side of him in a drama. Or it is showed on KBS cable tv? Since when 2.8 rating as mention in the soompi article is solid? It is because no dramas these days can get more than 2.0 % rating? His character is basically himself lol! Probably doesn't even need to act to become Shikyung - it's like watching real life Kim Jongin. He's so cute. Lol what?? who wakes up at 10AM on Sunday to watch a drama? Name even one popular drama that aired on Sunday morning... KBS1 has never aired a drama at 10AM slot before anyway. I thought lots of koreans watch dramas at sunday morning?prime time has always been 19-20 pm everywhere in the world. thats when most ppl watch tv. thus the highest rating shows usually are from those time slot so yeah morning shows rarely got high rating especially not on sunday when people are too lazy to wake up early.
