I had tried to revive it in July but it clearly didn't work, but thanks for making such assumptions about me. I'd been informed by two other people that NMB discussions are held in the AKB thread, so that's why I didn't keep the thread up-to-date. Anyway, the first post should be updated soon. I don't blame you for not recognizing her, she used to look like this Now she's like I still don't recognize her... The only ones I can really recognize are Nana, Sayaka, Riho, Eriko Jo, Aina ( ), Rika, Kei, Yuuki, Miru (why is she in team b omg), Miyuki, Rena Kawakami, and Rena Shimida (she graduated???). Basically most of the 1st gen / original members I can only recognize and then I didn't bother with any new members. Original line up 4 lyfe, man. Jo's back to being a trainee; she declined being promoted to M in the group shuffle. Ori Team N is great omg. I used to hate the shuffle (+draft...... do you know about that too--) with a passion but it seems like it's working out decently.. The N girls that got transferred are doing well (esp. Miru) but N itself is a bit awkward rn, idk why. See if you can still remember any faces from the new N lol I think I know what a shuffle / draft is? I know that Nana volunteered herself to be in team M so that team N wouldn't shuffle? and lmao that's too bad for Jo. The one that puts Milky in BII and Miru in M and Umeda Ayaka (from AKB48) to be BII's Co-Captain. And the draft is basically how they scout(?) new members but lock them in a team directly when they're selected-- they got promoted super fast too, quicker than the current KKS. AAAAY I TOPPED. Like when that was happening N was just getting their new stage, M was going on a national tour by themselves, and BII has a successful campaign to make their team song ranks high Request Hour. But idk things are going decently rn I guess EXCEPT FOR MAACHUN IN AKB WTF STILL NOT OVER THAT BYE plus this new draftee girl, Riripon, is actually quite hilarious and annoying (in a good way), so that's not a total loss. Miru's been skyrocketing in terms of popularity after she got transferred too (see: the new single that's not a SayaMilky center), so I wouldn't vent so much about it. Different members for each single, and the centers are basically the next "it" girl in NMB lol Ugh I feel so dumb not knowing anything anymore :( I used to know everything about them 2011 - 2012 when they didn't have a million members but then I just kind of... stopped. Honestly up until Junjou U-19 I liked their music, and then it just started getting really generic :\ Like, I swear all of their songs have the same guitar with the same pop beat but with different vocal direction. I can't tell if they're trying to have NMB stay original of if they know since they're popular enough they don't even have to try anymore. And I know 48 units aren't big on choreo, but I feel like even their choreo has gotten really dumb. I still think their first and second singles are their best, including title track, side tracks, choreo, MV, and costumes. I feel like they used to be so unique but now.. nope. Choreo-wise, Kamonegix and TakaRingo are more slick(?) and they're better than the rest imo,have you watched them? I guess songs like Rashikunai and Bokura no Eureka aren't your cup of tea, since they're kind of mid-tempo and the choreo are just..... eh. I'm sorry that you lose interest ahah, I know it can be pretty daunting when they have a gazillion members and you don't know what they're releasing anymore. Hopefully they'll release something that you'd like so you'll be interested again! And we can fangirl together idk lol Yeah, I'm still hoping they'll release something I can like again soon. Today at the Team M Winter Matsuri a "Post-Yamada Nana Audition" was announced. NMB will search for one candidate to be included in NMB after Nana has left. The only requirements for auditioning are "a weird voice, zero sense of humor and a tolerance for being made fun off". The application period is from today til December 26.
