allkpop: Lizzy announces official graduation from After School.

 

 

Lizzy has announced her official graduation from After School after 8 years.

 

On May 1, Lizzy posted a handwritten letter announcing her departure from the girl group as well as Pledis Entertainment on their official fan cafe. Her letter is as follows:

 

"Hello! This is Lizzy.

It seems like it was cold weather just yesterday, but it's now it's really spring. Everyone's doing well, right? It looks like winter has passed, and spring has come. I'm writing to let you know of my second stage in my life. I always knew I'd graduate one day, and though it's already been 9 years, I feel like my graduation has come really quickly. 

 

In 2009, I, an average high school student in Busan, was cast. I came up to Seoul, spent my time as a trainee, became Lizzy to promote with After School and Orange Caramel. It was a joyful and happy day with many people, and I felt like the world was my oyster. Looking back, it was a beautiful time in my life. I really thank my Pledis family and head Han Sung Soo for letting me grow as Lizzy until now. I'll always be grateful, and I won't forget it.

 

To my members who I spent bittersweet times with, I really thank you, and I love you alot. I won't forget the moments I've had with our Playgirlz fans. Thank you so much, and I love you. I'll do my best to return your overwhelming affection and improve into a better person. Once again, thank you, and I love you.

Recently, Lizzy officially announced her graduation from After School. Following her departure from the group, many also questioned the status of Orange Caramel featuring members Lizzy, Nana, and Raina. 

 

In response to the concerns surrounding Orange Caramel, Pledis Entertainment stated, "The members are promoting in different fields according to their personal situations but this does not mean Orange Caramel has disbanded. We will give utmost support if they have a good opportunity to release an album again in the future."

Lizzy signs with Celltrion Entertainment

Lizzy has signed with Celltrion Entertainment.

 

She recently left Pledis Entertainment, and as of May 10, has signed with Celltrion Entertainment. The label said, "We have signed an exclusive contract with Lizzy, who has shown extensive talent not just in singing, but also in acting and variety shows, and also has unlocked potential. We will be fully supporting her so she can promote in various areas and communicate with the public."

 

They've also revealed a new profile photo for Lizzy, which you can see below.

 

 

P.S. I hoped for larger company. Though Celltrion has united with Thespis Entertainment earlier, their general opportunities of lobbying are all the same limited. All right, I hope that Lizzy will be good luck though there isn't a lot of chances of it. Better she would remain in Pledis.
