Yeah, but calling someone nugu is usually meant as an insult to them. When people called BTS nugus, they weren't just spewing it as a fact (because it's true, BTS weren't that popular yet), they meant it in a demeaning way as well.

I know what it means. I'm not saying that nugu literally means an 'insult' but it's the context and intention of the person saying 'nugu?' to an artist that was the point of my post. I know that in Kpop, when you say 'Who?' when talking about a group, you usually mean it as a shade, to imply that they and their opinions are irrelevant because they're less popular and successful, because they're nobodies.
