This is what makes them unique and I'm glad they're proud of it now. They used to get dragged and criticized by even YG management for not giving off that YG vibe but now it's their strength. Go Winner!!!

never forget that moment when yg stan coming at them and telling them to disband bcs they are not doing fast beat hip hop song lol

I wouldn't say they don't give a YG vibe. Rather i;d say they give a vibe of YG that's not particularly in favour anymore.

They remind me of early to mid 2000s YG. Like that point in time right before BigBang really blew up, but not so far back that it's clearly doing so much old school hiphop/Jinusean aesthetic.

Soundwise they're not like YG really save for their ballads, which i feel are pretty in step with YG though

They aren't a group so...

Also lee hi and one to name a few have a different vibe than what you'd expect from Yg artists

eh, I've always considered groups and duos to be the same mainly because solos get their own category when it comes to awards but groups and duos are always lumped together in one awards category.

But there is a new definition to "YG vibe" now, right?

YG was originally a small hip-hop label with 1TYM, Masta Wu, etc. Yes YG popularized hip-hop in Kpop and yes Big Bang originally started with hip-hop concept...

...but isn't the definition of "YG vibe" now mean Diverse.

I mean when you have AKMU, Lee Hi, WINNER, iKON, BLACKPINK, Big Bang, PSY, EPIK High and the sublabels have Zion T, Hyukoh and The Blackskirts and others...all under one roof, isn't that called Diversity. No one is like the other.
