the first time I heard MIC DROP, I found that

it was suspiciously SIMILAR to the iconic Get Your Freak On

I'm not accusing BTS of plagiarism

I said SIMILAR so before you attack me

listen for yourself

listen to the melody in the back ground they are really close

even if the rapping has nothing to do with each other

I know it happens that some songs end up

ressembling each other even if it wasn't the intent of the artist

while composing

so am I crazy?

is there a similarity or not?

please don't be childish

I'm not an army but I'm a casual listener of BTS

and I didn't not bash them, I'm just trying

to have a discussion about their music

nothing more

"to have a discussion about their music"

sis tell that to bts haters who always jump to bash bts , they don't know what a discussion is

so because of haters we should never

have a discussion?

if they come here I'll personally report the comments

if you're that afraid of them

I stanned GYFO like a loon when it came out, it's stayed as one of my fav songs for all these years and not once did I think of it when hearing MD and now that I'm comparing it, I still don't hear what you're hearing.

Similar genre songs will have similar vibes, hence why EDM songs sound the same to people who are not fans of the genre, I think you're confusing the set structures certain genres have, with them having similar melodies, so agree to disagree.

I was kinda busy today

so I didn't listen to their album until now

and y'all know me ok, I'm not a troll

I sometimes write some shady comments @ AMRY

but I have nothing against BTS or their music

I praised Blood sweat and tears when it came out

and we can all agree that it's a true master piece

ok now that I got that out of the way

Is this some kind of poem or what? Man, poetry is weird these days.

I never studied music so I can't explain why

but the first time I heard MD I directly thought of that song

I'm not agreeing on anything tho I just wanted to know

if I was the only who heard it

You're talking about the beat right? You're not crazy It is similar but the bts one has 5 (idk what those sound are called?) while get your freak on 6 . I don't know why you made this thread though

I'm not talking about the beat

I'm talking about the melody in the back ground

I don't know what's called either

in the beginning of MD it's played on the electric guitar

i mean no offense, but its the dramatics in your post that will bring the neg. i can hear the similarity, but its still a bit different. and i wouldnt say its "suspicious" either if it is the same, i'm sure its just sampled and dues would be paid to original song producer, but i cant tell.. same for zero for conduct. i can hear the similarity (cant tell if its the same), in the beat, but the songs distinguish eachother from the other.
