How do you usually deal with a panic attack?

Wait.

I used to harm myself a lot and my whole limbs are just.. ruined. People stare at me if I wear short sleeves. Since a year back I barely do any of that because I'm studying to become a nurse and I just can't have kids stare at all of that. At least not fresh ones. Don't ever do that shit. The best thing is to just wait. Scream, cry, blast music or whatever - just wait it out.

Sometimes I write out how I feel. Go into my room. Cry a lot, whilst speaking in my head to myself. Once I have calmed down, I go and do something I like, such as watching anime or funny TV shows. I try to set goals to expose myself to it, so once I am able to be comfortable, I will be less panicky.

 

But yeah when I do get a panic attack, I get nauseated, my heart beats faster, I feel a weird sense of running away, and I end up saying things to ease it, for example if its people then I will try to reply indirectly. Its not the best course of action, but I am trying.

 

I seek professional help as well, so that helps.
