Should I be worried

my period is 12 days late

Do you think its due to stress? I just started back at school so my routine has changed

But I'm usually very regular so i'm worried

idk if i should go to a doctor or not yet 0u0plz.png

Depends on how old you are, your sexual activity, your mental health, your environment, etc.. Going to the gyno might be best just in case.

18, all girl boarding schoolimstupid.png , ok-ish kinda stressed, fine, theres only a gp close i dont want to travel hours to a city to see a gyno0u0plz.png

It's not unusual for it to fluctuate because of stress or your dietary habits. If it's extremely rare for you and you're in pain or unsettled then go get it checked but it's not really anything too out of the ordinary I think. See what happens next month and if it becomes a regular occurrence

Your menses don't become regular until you're well into your 20s, which means that for any growing female, it can be very erratic without any underlying cause. If you're really worried, you can go for a check up

mine have regularized for years now so thats kinda why im worried

but i guess senior year must have taken a toll on me unsure.png

it just sucks bringing tampons everywhere and constantly wearing pads

i hate feeling unprepared :/

It's not necessarily regular, especially at a younger age, but if it is adding on to your stress and interfering with your life then going to the doctor is not a bad thing. In fact, it's almost always better than doing nothing imo. So if you can, you should go for a check up.

Hope it gets better soon though!

If you feel really concerned about it then I'd say go to the doctor if anything for a peace of mind that things are ok (or to catch if anything's really up) but if you don't think it's necessary then i'd say just wait longer and see what happens. I missed a month once and I knew it was bc I was stressed about school which in turn fucked up my eating habits which had an effect on me.

this may not be the case for you but i had a similar problem during the beginning of the senior year but then i bled constantly for like 2 months straight and had to be put on birth control to regulate it.

you may want to get it checked out tbh.
