Have you ever quit a job because you left like you're being taken advantage of?

I'm really contemplating quitting  this new job that I have right now. Everything was fine for the first few weeks but recently things are getting completely out of hand and its just manic and I dread going to work today. I've been calling out for work for the last few days and going on interviews looking for a new job. In the last 4 days I landed 10 interviews and I hope that I will hear back from someone by the end of this week.

What was discussed during the initial interview is not what it is, I have no set days off, I basically have to wait until the end of the week to find out what days I am working the next week. I'm asked to do things are not for me to be doing. There's a problem when someone doesn't want to take lunch, I feel like I'm pressured to take a break and then pressured to come back from the break as soon as I can even though I have a 30 minute break that I do not have to take btw. There's a problem with employees leaving early due to unexpected family emergencies or them just not feeling well. It seems like everything is an issue and they are not happy or satisfied with anything.

I've been given the same days off for the last 5 weeks and I had already made plans on those days but now they changed my schedule without asking me whether I can work on those days and they expect me prioritize the job and schedule my life around it.

Everyone has a life outside of work...... its just crazy and I just feel like I need to get out for my own mental sanity because I will go insane. I do not want to quit because if I quit and I do not find something else I won't even be able to collect unemployment.

You can seek help from the labour union to sue your company, because if it's in Malaysia, you employer already breach several acts in my country labour law.

After you get the compensation then leaves, or if you don't want any hassle just be patient and wait for new job offer, you deserve better.

Yep, the first job that I had. Most of the office work I was doing wasn't mentioned during the interview, I would have to complete 10 projects per month along with any other work senior management gave me, I had to help out the customer service team which had literally nothing to do with my job as I was in the marketing department. I was so busy I everyday I would sometimes have to miss lunch/ stay overtime just to complete projects and what pissed me off is that the management would never acknowledge the overtime I was doing.

Needless to say, I stayed with them for 2 years, the second year got much worse and busier than ever and I got a small raise that I wasn't happy with as I was doing so much work and they were paying me fuck all so I decided to quit. My advice would be to leave now but secure a job first, it's hard to find a job nowadays and it's better to have a job even if it's shitty than no job at all.

No but I have left a call center that I thought was doing unethical practices i.e. Hanging up on customers to lower their average handle time. That led to my current career which has changed my life. I don't enjoy my current role but I love my company and once I can get promoted to a non customer facing role I know I am going to be a lot happier.

I wouldn't say taken advantage of per se, but lied to and unappreciated. I quit that job about two weeks ago now. That place constantly had me bitter and stressed out. I put up with it for a year and 6 months but no more. It's amazing what simply leaving a toxic environment can do. Though I didn't exactly do it the smart way (in terms of not waiting to find a new job first), but I did have an interview for a place I've got several connections in, so it may all work out. I don't recommend doing what I did if you're trying to advance an actual career, but it's fine if you're doing some shitty ass retail job since they're pretty replaceable.
