[RANT] Ed Sheeran is slooowly pissing me off. #StopEdSheeran2K17

Pissed off is a tad strong, but extremely peeved off is more it. I was already mildly annoyed with him because "Shape Of You' is annoyingly similar to Sia's "Cheap Thrills", but whatever. Moved on. Now if you didn't know he's released another single "Perfect" and fucking again it sounds obnoxiously similar to Beyonce's "Ave Maria" and Little Big Town's "Girl Crush".

 

I'm about 85% sure this melody has been around since the 50s or 60s. I think its because he did this shit with SOY and everytime it'd come on the radio I'd be like, "woohoo Sia!" only to be massively disappointed with Ed Sheeran. "Perfect" came out like last week and I already want to punch a wall lol. I'm even more annoyed because objectively I actually like the song, its a good song; but UUUUUUGH! All I hear is Beyonce + Little Big Town.

this comes from someone who genuinely

loved his music and staned him

but his new album was like the biggest let down

 

I'm not even talking about the accusations of plagiarism

but all his new songs sound so generic and unoriginal

i'm still trying to think of one too tbh. for whatever reason Etta James comes to mind, but I don't think it was her.
