IOI members' friendships are honestly too cute, overlapping promos has been such a blessing!

Prepare to drown in IOI content...

Doyeon and Chaeyeon being visual queens at Incheon kpop concert ....and then Doyeon almost killing a fan with her heart.

Turns out Yoojung ratted Chaeyeon out when she broke her curfew, LOL.

Trans:

Find it hilarious that Chaeyeon's manager was watching Yoojung's vlive.

Dodaeng sending Sejeong a bday message during their LieV

Doyeon asked the fans for a ship name between her and Sei and when they suggested SeDo she was like, Oh but SeDo is for Sejeong

Doyeon who loves Sejeong's voice

Then she sings a bit of it

Pinky showing off her Doyeon pics

DUDUDUDUDUDU

Meeting at music shows *cue In the Same Place*

Not a music show but when Chungha and Sohye turned up to support WeMe debut showcase

And Chungha at DIA's showcase

And when Chungha and Somi made a surprise visit to MuBank where 6/11 of IOI were performing

Chungha's 1st radio show and after playing Downpour a surprise caller calls in! @4:00

Messages to/about each other from fansigns

Sohye's fansite went to support the other girlies and Doyeon and Pinky recognized them

Bonus: Eunwoo has apparently adopted WeMe

Jeju friends Dayoung and Mina being cuties

lol too many , but thx for making summary for all of it. I miss some of them.

Nayoung x Sohye probably the hardest interaction to get.

Also i remember there's DIA vlive where some dia member moving on music show building then sejeong & chaeyeon seen on vlive chatting by themselves. Do you have it ?

I honestly am happy & a bit surprised that their agencies let them hang/ and also let the media take pics and post articles lol

I really thought that after ioi disbanded, the agencies would put a stop to them showing their friendship in public (end of music shows/allowing ioi member questions at fansigns/ig updates etc) which is why it hurt so much that time.

But they are able to freely show their friendship, its wonderful. I love it.

Idk how much control the companies have over media. Bc seems media just goes for whatever can make the most headlines. Like the first DoChae interaction and when 8/11 met on MuBank, there were so many pics and articles from the media.

But yeah I get what you mean and I think you can definitely tell that the different companies have varying degrees of stances on the issue. Chungha, Sohye are the most free and you can see them mentioning other members frequently. Then WeMe, Somi and Chaeyeon also frequently talk about and promote other members. Yeonjung also answers fansign questions about IOI, but otherwise doesn't seem able to talk as openly about them. I think Gugudan and Pristin actually have restrictions on these things. Pristin's post its get pre-screened and I vaguely recall a fanaccount where they had to sneak in their post it that mentioned IOI. And Gugudan starting from AGLM promo, fans were no longer able to ask questions via post it notes.

So Pledis, who benefited the most from the Produce 101 shows, were actually the ones being the most greedy... who would've thought.

Err post it notes have more implication than that, from what i remember gugudan suffer from fans who refuse to know other gugudan member name, and pristin suffer from fan who faking their post it notes.

But overall they arent restricted to interact/call each other/mention each other.

I think Pledis go to great lengths not to forever attach NaPink's image to IOI. And it shouldn't be necessarily viewed as a negative thing. Seems to me they want to differentiate Pristin from IOI. They want to let it be known Pristin is different, and they have members that are all deserving of love from fans instead of just the former IOI members.

Don't mean that the sole reason they get screened or are no longer allowed is to stop IOI interaction, there's certainly a lot more involved in the decision. But definitely by doing so there is less IOI interaction from the members in those companies.

And no it's not strictly prohibited, because we still see interactions among all members, but I get the feeling that some companies want them to focus more solely on the group and not have fans still hanging on to IOI. It's clearly a very touchy issue even amongst fans, I'm sure the members are aware of it without companies having to lay it out.

Yeah, it definitely can be viewed as a smart strategical move, Pristin has developed the most widespread fandom support across all their members compared to the other post IOI groups.

Yeah, I'm not trying to suggest they're not close. I mean, that exact clip of Mina and Pristin you're referring to is in my OP.. GuguPristin is totally a thing starting from last promo cycle and I'm so on board.

IOI was great for them. The reason being that while hey have some pressure to succeed, winning produce 101 was the hardest part. They do not really have to prove anything after that. So they grew as IOI members, and as Sejeong said, walking the flowery road. I really believe they were completing IOI promotions with light hearts. So there is a lot to draw from their own memories as IOI members.

But being in a real group managed by their agency is a different thing altogether. It cannot be a flowery road as they say since they have now debuted and have to deal with getting big, and popular along with the competition with other groups. But that is part of adult life.

I think they will look back IOI as one time during high school where everything was rosy.

Came here expecting Yeonjung in this thread tho

There's a little bit with the post it notes between her and Doyeon. But this was basically a compilation of moments that resulted because of DIA Pristin WeMe and Oguogu all promoting together. WJSN was a little earlier than them.
