It's just that her harmonies are sometimes more vocally impressive than her melodies so she wanted to show off. I like it because I've heard the song a billion times now. I've always had a hard time when listening to Mariah Carey's songs when deciding which part of the song to sing because Mariah sings both the melody and the harmonies. She's so good. Been obsessed with her lately tbh I know! I'm really hoping she blows up more in the U.S. She's about to go top ten on radio and her song is almost platinum, so she's doing really well here!
