[OTHER] A physical album sales thread of Twice since their debut in Korea and Japan's market. 

 

This piece of information is gathered and made by Twice VN so shoutout to them once again. I'm just doing my job, translating from their Facebook post so that i-fans on OH can have a general understanding about Twice's physical sales since their debut (Mistakes in translation may occur so bear with me).

I. GAON

- Calculate the amount of albums sold and distributed in Korea. For Twice, Genie music is responsible for producing and distributing their music. 

 

- Album sales publicized through Gaon monthly (already minus the amount of payback albums). Product that is accepted by Gaon: Tape - LP - CD - USB - normal albums. 

 

- Gaon Sales up until 8/2017:

II. HANTEO

- The amount of albums counted from Hanteo's stores.

- Hanteo only counts Offline orders (Roadshop) + Online orders (Internet shop) from their own stores within Korea. 

- Not only CD, Hanteo also counts DVD that officially published on Hanteo. For Twice there are Twice TV2, 3 and 4.

- Twice's Hanteo sales (all) here is counted at the end of week 35 of 2017 (03/09/2017):

III. RIAJ

- The amount of Album sold distributed within Japan. Warner Music Japan is the company responsible for producing and distributing their music.

 

- Sales number is only provided within the producing company and exclusive press, RIAJ do not publicize their sales online, unlike Gaon.

 

- For #TWICE, up until now, with the number on SoundScan Japan (249,346 copies), the number on RIAJ can be estimated as approximately 280,000 copies.

 

IV. ORICON

- The amount of album sold counted on Oricon's official stores within Japan.

 

- Online stores that register to Oricon such as HMV Japan, YesAia, CD Japan, Amazon Japan,...their domestic online orders is also counted as Oricon's official sales. 

- Twice's Oricon sales is  counted at the end of week 35 of 2017 (publicized on 06/09/2017):
