Did you watch Produce 101? It's a survival show made especially to show the talents of these boys. And Daniel even won it! There must be a reason for that since he's not the visual people like in kpop.

Dance. He was one of the best dancers in the competition. He does b-boy dance and learned modern dance and even won a competition in it in the past. He also choreographs. He's made to rap now with Wanna One but during Produce 101 he sang and did a good job at it. 

He also is one of the best at representing the concepts given. Which is the main reason he got so popular.

one thing confuse me though, daniel is very innocent about everything but how come he is so good with words with woman, he knows how to say all the right thing and great fan service

 

some people say daniel is not introvert like others guy in the show but in w1 daniel fit the show the most. minhyun is a home body but hes very reserve about his image... daniel is so dumb and so cute and dont care about his image at all make it great for tv
