tbh reaction videos annoy me in this instance. i rather they post them 24 hours later because too many reaction vids will

1) take views away from the actual video

2) push the actual video down the list

when spring day was released it was not even the top video on the list when u search for bts because the tag was CLOGGED with freaking reaction videos.

I know this is great and sort of indicates how big they have gotten now to get this level of fan's engagement but, this is annoying tbh.

And this is why I had trouble to search for serendipity earlier.

When you type BTS on youtube, all you get are reaction videos. I had to add ibighit to my search to get to their MVs.

idk about that. I typed in BTS in the search bar and the official trailer was the first thing that popped up. then some reaction vids and not today is not that far down either.

I doubt the vids will take that many views away tbh because most of those people already watched the vid on the official channel and not everyone is obsessed with how many views the vids gets. And for many who haven't seen the vid(non fans) if they want, they can go watch the official one afterwards without distraction since most link to the official vid anyway.

You must not have searched it when the trailer first dropped. I went looking for Serendipity BTS, even typed that into the search bar, but it was all reaction videos on the first page. Even some of their older trailers showed up, but no Serendipity. laugh.png

As for views... I don't really care if the video reaches XX million views in 24 hours. It doesn't mean that much to me.

Hm.. You're probably right. lol I pretty much just went straight to the video. Though most fans probably already follow the official channel so it wouldn't be hard to find in the first place for us. Though here's a tip if you didn't know about it. You can also put "-react" or "-reaction" "-[insert word]" to filter out vids you don't want to see as well. HOnestly award season is where i use these most tbh though since all the fancams come out and I don't wanna watch 8756757 versions of the same thing lol

man! as nice as this thirst seems, I hate to search for the original video on the first page and not find it because of all these reaction videos. It reduces views as well.

why do people care so much about reactions?

Eh... it doesn't reduce views that much. Most people watching the reactions vids already watched the original probably multiple times already. There's only so many times you can stay interested in the same exact thing without wanting to change it up a little. And the same people aren't watching every single reaction video. But anyway to help with searching just add "-react" or "-reaction" to your search. Problem solved.

And to answer your question. Some people don't have people near them that the can gush to and watch the video with. It's like watching with someone enjoying the same thing as you. Similar to why people watch mukbang videos.
