Now since bashing for cute concepts is already stupid as hell let's look at what they're calling cute So in this video they abuse a bunch of ice cream people, commit ice cream child abuse, eat other ice cream people when they're supposed to be ice cream people themselves. One of the ice cream people commits suicide because of Mina and Hyeyeon abusing their ice cream child. Then they escape prison and kill the polile officer than proceed to eat them, but since they saw bright colours and smiles at the camera people only saw cute. Same thing with IU's 23 video where people cried pedophilia without even trying to understand. For me it's cute.. Red Velvet do cute concepts that have a quirkiness to it. I dunno why some people take offense to this and I like RV. Also, some of the styling semed blatantly childish to me. The hair might make them look less cute, but he choreo/music is on the cute-side as well. Orange Caramel's older stuff (Magic Girl, A-ing) was definitely cute, Catallena and Lipstick are a little more quirky I suppose though I don't think they are extremely quirky. Dumb Dumb could be an example of quirky, they look like Whoville characters in it lol. F(x) electric shock might be an example of quirky too.
