The public can punish them if they don't deliver, i guess. I preordered Humanz and even though i didn't like it i am happy that i supported Gorillaz anyway because they're still awesome. Frankly put, I hate how the awards systems are mostly centered around sales because that basically means their are only 2 groups who will be up for album of the year for the next couple years or so (or maybe even longer than that who knows), whether not other groups put out better/higher quality albums (just like how before 2016, EXO was pretty much guaranteed every Album of the Year Award). The lack of true competition makes it a drag. It sucks and makes me bitter towards the award systems, but at the same time, with how corrupt kpop tends to be, if it was solely based of a panel of judges like the grammys, it could easily be corrupted behind the scenes. It's a lose lose situation that frustrates me. But I already like Serendipity which apparently is the intro song, so at least I know one song will be good. I don't preorder albums anymore bc I'm poor and in college and only purchase things if their, imo, really good so things like this aren't really an issue for me Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Even if the albums sucks, i know they'll serve some godly visuals in the photobooks and that's all that really matters when you buy kpop albums anyways.
