As Janet Jackson readies the Thursday launch of her â€˜State Of The World Tour,’ the public are showing an appetite for her classic catalogue.

Ms. Jackson’s greatest hits collection, â€˜Number Ones,’ is currently sitting at #3 on the US iTunes chart.

 

So, what caused the sudden surge?

 

Well, it’s likely the pairing of its recent price slash (to $6.99) and buzz surrounding the 56-date North American trek, which kicks off in Lafayette September 7th.

 

It’s worth noting that Janet’s album wasn’t the only discounted, yet it is the highest charting.
